These dependable custom hitches are manufactured for 2020-2022 KIA Rio and attach to your vehicle?s frame or bumper for a sleek, clean appearance. DRAW-TITE Class 1 custom trailer hitches come complete with all the mounting hardware needed for installation and are backed by a nationwide lifetime limited warranty. So, whether you are headed out to the campground and need a place for the cooler, taking the bikes to hit the trails in the park, or you are tackling a DIY project (maybe some landscaping or a home repair), choose DRAW-TITE and travel with confidence knowing your setup is connected with the security only DRAW-TITE can provide. DRAW-TITE: North America?s Favorite Hitch.

Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

The T-One® Connector is a vehicle-mounted wiring harness that provides a 4-flat connector for trailer towing. It intercepts the vehicle's taillight wiring on both driver and passenger sides, allowing you to connect a trailer's lighting system to your vehicle's electrical system. The connector includes a black box (mounted inside the cargo area), power and ground wires, and a 4-flat connector for storage in the rear cargo area when not in use.
The manual shows installation on a Kia Rio 5 Door. The manual does not provide a complete list of compatible vehicles, exclusions, or fitment conditions. Contact the manufacturer or consult a fitment database to confirm compatibility with your specific vehicle make, model, year, cab style, and bed length before purchasing.
You will need: trim panel remover, Phillips head screwdriver, drill with 3/32" drill bit, wire crimpers, wire cutters, and test probe. These tools are required to remove trim panels, disconnect and reconnect wiring, drill a ground hole, crimp wire connections, and test the installation.
The kit includes: double-sided tape for mounting the black box, cable ties for securing the harness, an eyelet and screw for the ground wire, a yellow fuse holder with a 15 amp fuse, two yellow butt connectors for wire connections, and a 4-flat connector. The connector end with the yellow wire (driver's side) and the connector end with the green wire (passenger's side) are also included.
Yes. Step 9 requires you to disconnect the vehicle's negative (−) battery cable before making power connections. Alternatively, if you do not disconnect the battery, you must remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder provided. After installation is complete (step 12), reconnect the negative battery cable and install the 15 amp fuse into the fuse holder.
Open the rear hatch and partially remove the plastic threshold cover and cargo trays to locate the vehicle wiring in the rear cargo area. Starting on the driver's side, remove the Phillips head retaining screws from both driver and passenger trim panels, then partially pull back the trim panels to access the vehicle's wiring harness.
1. Disconnect the vehicle wiring harness from both driver and passenger taillight assemblies, being careful not to damage locking tabs. 2. On the driver's side, insert the T-One® Connector end with the yellow wire between the vehicle wiring connectors and lock into place, ensuring locking tabs are fully engaged. 3. On the passenger's side, insert the T-One® Connector end with the green wire between the vehicle wiring connectors and lock into place. Yes. You must drill a 3/32" hole to secure the white ground wire. Locate a suitable grounding point near the black box, such as an existing ground stud, or drill a new 3/32" hole. Do not drill into the vehicle floor or bed. Before drilling, verify what is behind any surface to avoid damage to the vehicle or personal injury. Do not drill into any exposed surfaces. Clean dirt and rustproofing from the area before securing the white wire with the eyelet and screw provided.
Beginning from the front of the vehicle, route the black 12 ga. wire rearward along the frame rail, avoiding hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank, or any other points that may pinch or break the wire. If routing the wire through a grommet and along the exterior of the vehicle, be careful to avoid the same hazards. Connect the rear end of the black 12 ga. wire to the black power wire on the T-One® black box using the yellow butt connector provided.
The yellow fuse holder and 15 amp fuse protect the power circuit. The fuse holder is connected between the vehicle's positive (+) battery cable and the black 12 ga. power wire. In step 9, you cut the fuse holder wire, attach a ring terminal to the vehicle's positive battery cable, and connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12 ga. wire using a yellow butt connector. After installation, install the 15 amp fuse into the fuse holder (step 12).
Yellow wire: part of the driver's side taillight connector. Green wire: part of the passenger's side taillight connector. White wire: ground connection, secured to a ground stud or drilled hole near the black box. Black 12 ga. wire: power wire routed from the vehicle's positive battery cable (via fuse holder) to the black box. Black power wire on the black box: receives the incoming black 12 ga. power wire.
Always wear safety glasses and use all safety precautions during installation. Before drilling, verify what is behind any surface to avoid damage to the vehicle or personal injury. Do not drill into exposed surfaces. When routing the power wire, avoid hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank, or any other points that may pinch or break the wire. Be careful not to pinch or cut wires when reinstalling trim panels. Read and follow all warnings and cautions printed on the vehicle's battery. Do not exceed the product's stated amperage ratings or the towing manufacturer's rating, as overloading circuits can cause fires.
After all connections are complete and the 15 amp fuse is installed, test and verify the installation with a test light or trailer. For the initial test, reset the vehicle electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition. All connections must be complete for the T-One® Connector to function properly.
Store the 4-flat connector in the rear cargo area when not in use.
Trim panel remover, Phillips head screwdriver, drill with 3/32" bit, wire crimpers, wire cutters, and test probe.
