ARIES Jeep tube doors are more than a fancy aftermarket toy for your Jeep Wrangler JL or Jeep Gladiator; they are the key to turning your ride into the ultimate off-roading machine. Their open-concept design and aggressive cutout pattern makes them the perfect accessory for the desert baja and the rock climber alike. To keep your Jeep JL / Gladiator light on its feet over every sand dune, ARIES Jeep tube doors are built to be lightweight while still maintaining superior strength. They are constructed from T6 aluminum alloy, making them strong but far lighter than steel. We also use 100% TIG welds to ensure a solid build and a precise fit on your vehicle. Jeep tube doors are quick to install and easy to remove whenever necessary, using the factory hinge points. They are coated in a durable black powder coat for maximum corrosion resistance, and the unique textured finish of the powder coat helps hide minor scratches and grime from your off-road excursions (NOTE: Before purchasing ARIES Jeep tube doors, it is recommended that you check local and state laws. Some laws may prohibit the use of this product).

The ARIES 1500200 is designed to fit vehicles with factory hinges and striker plates. The manual does not specify vehicle make, model, or year compatibility. Contact ARIES Automotive at 877-287-8634 or check ariesautomotive.com to confirm fitment for your specific vehicle before purchasing.
Non-powered side mirrors can be removed from your factory doors and reused on the ARIES tube doors. If your vehicle has powered mirrors, ARIES recommends purchasing aftermarket mirrors to attach to the tube doors, as the manual does not support reusing powered mirror systems.
You will need: T40 Torx bit, T50 Torx bit, ratchet, ratchet extension, socket set, and Phillips screwdriver. The installation is rated as Easy difficulty level.
The kit includes: 1 driver side (left) front door, 1 passenger side (right) front door, 4 lock nuts (M8), 4 flat washers (M8), 2 rubber bushings, 4 cylinder tubes (3" x 1"), and 4 flat washers (1-3/4" O.D. x 1/2"). Factory bolts from your original doors are reused to secure the mirrors.
1. Remove factory bolts from the passenger door hinges using a T50 Torx bit. 2. Remove and set aside non-powered mirrors (if equipped) using a T40 Torx bit. 3. Remove the lower kick panel plastic cover and disconnect the dome light wire. 4. Remove the safety strap bolt and lift the factory door away. 5. Slide the ARIES tube door pins into the factory hinges and snug (do not fully tighten) the M8 lock nuts and flat washers. 6. Reattach the safety strap and rubber bushing. 7. Check door latch alignment with the striker plate and adjust if needed. 8. Tighten all hinge hardware. 9. Repeat steps 1–8 on the driver side. 10. Install mirrors by sliding mounting tubes through door openings, securing with 1-3/4" O.D. flat washers and factory bolts, then tighten with T40 Torx bit.
No. When installing the ARIES tube door, snug the M8 lock nuts and flat washers but do not fully tighten. Only fully tighten the hinge hardware after you have checked and adjusted the door latch alignment with the striker plate (Step 8).
1. Use a T50 Torx bit to remove the factory bolts securing the door to the hinges. 2. Use a T40 Torx bit to remove the bolt from the inside of the door that secures the safety strap. 3. Remove the safety strap and carefully lift the factory door away and set it aside.
To remove: open the passenger door, locate the dome light in the lower kick panel area, and move the red clip back to disconnect the light wire from the harness. Set the light aside. To reattach after installing the tube door, reverse this process by reconnecting the red clip to the harness.
After installing the tube door, check that the locking door latch aligns with the striker plate inside the door jam. If adjustment is needed, use a T40 Torx bit to loosen the bolts on the striker plate, align the latch with the striker plate, and then tighten the bolts. This must be done before fully tightening the hinge hardware.
1. Slide the two mounting tubes on the mirror through the mounting locations on the tube doors. 2. Slide the 3" cylinder tubes over the mounting tubes on the mirror. 3. Secure with a 1-3/4" O.D. flat washer and factory bolts. 4. Tighten the mirror onto the doors using a T40 Torx bit.
M8 bolts should be torqued to 7 ft-lbs. This applies to the M8 lock nuts and flat washers used to secure the tube doors to the factory hinges.
Use the following torque specifications unless otherwise noted: M6 bolt = 3 ft-lbs, M8 bolt = 7 ft-lbs, M10 bolt = 16 ft-lbs, M12 bolt = 28 ft-lbs. For SAE fasteners: 1/4" bolt = 3 ft-lbs, 5/16" bolt = 7 ft-lbs, 3/8" bolt = 16 ft-lbs, 7/16" bolt = 20 ft-lbs, 1/2" bolt = 28 ft-lbs.
When removing non-powered mirrors, hold the mirror from the outside to prevent accidental dropping or scratching of paint on the door. Use a T40 Torx bit to remove the bolts from the inside of the door.
Wax the product after installation and regularly thereafter to add a protective layer over the finish. Use only mild automotive detergent to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes, or polishes containing abrasives, as these may damage the finish. For polished, gloss, and other smooth finishes, non-abrasive polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs. Perform periodic inspections to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight.
After installation, perform periodic inspections to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight. Check that the door latch aligns properly with the striker plate and that the door closes completely. Verify that the rubber bushing is properly attached to the inside of the door and that the safety strap is reattached.
