Blue Ox is known internationally for recreational and commercial towing products, manufacturing in Pender, Nebraska since 1925. The line covers tow bars and vehicle-specific baseplates for flat towing behind a motorhome, sway control and weight distributing hitches, supplemental braking accessories and towing wiring, backed by patented designs and long-standing customer service.
Blue Ox has manufactured since 1925 and is recognised internationally for towing products and customer service. The company operates from Pender, Nebraska, where it grew out of Automatic Manufacturing Co., a business that started with cattle oilers and developed into agricultural equipment, tractor accessories and trailer towing hardware. Yes, the plastic facia must be removed for installation. The removal process involves removing push pins from the upper center opening, five push pins and eight hex bolts from the bottom, two Phillips screws in front of each front tire, four 10mm hex bolts connecting the fenders and facia, five push pins from the top of the plastic, and three push pins holding the plastic center grill piece.
All six holes must be drilled for installation. Two holes (#3 and #4) are drilled into the frame and use 1/2" hardware. Two holes (#2 and #5) are drilled and use 1/2" hardware. Two holes (#1 and #6) are drilled and use 3/8" hardware. The 3/8" wire nuts for holes #1 and #6 can be inserted through the inside corners of the frame at the bottom corners of the radiator.

Hold the baseplate up to the bottom of the metal bumper and center it around the frame surrounding the radiator. The attachment tabs will extend through the grill opening approximately four inches. Use a marker to label the baseplate holes 1 through 6 starting from either end, then use the baseplate as a template to mark and center punch each hole location before drilling.
1. Mark and center punch hole #3 on the frame, drill a 1/2" hole, insert the 1/2" bolt plate with wire, and fasten with 1/2" washer and hex nut. Apply Loctite and torque. 2. Repeat for hole #4. 3. Mark, punch, and drill holes #2 and #5 using the baseplate as a template, then bolt with 1/2" hardware. 4. Drill holes #1 and #6 and use 3/8" hardware, inserting the 3/8" wire nuts through the inside corners of the frame at the bottom corners of the radiator.
