You will remove seven screws from the top edge (four on passenger side, three on driver side) using a T20 Torx, two bolts from the upper side using a T27 Torx, four screws from the wheel well area using 10MM and 7MM sockets, and three bolts from the underside using a 10MM socket.
On the passenger side, remove the push pins holding the temperature sensor in place and gently set it to the side of the vehicle until after baseplate installation. Once the baseplate is installed, put the push pins back to their original location on the side and front, then secure the temperature sensor to the baseplate using a cable tie.

Drill two additional holes on each side and install 3/8"-16 x 1-1/2" bolts with 3/8" lock washers and lock nuts. 6. Attach permanent baseplate safety cables to frame on both sides. 7. Reinstall temperature sensor with cable tie. 8. Reinstall fascia.
Attach the two 36" Class III safety cables to the provided convenience link on the baseplate using the 3/8" quicklinks. Secure the cables to a solid piece of the vehicle frame on both sides. Do not mount the cables against wires, hoses, or brake lines. The cables must remain installed as long as the baseplate is on the vehicle. They are strongly recommended and work in conjunction with, not as a replacement for, legally required safety cables attaching the towed vehicle to the towing vehicle.
The baseplate is computer tested to your vehicle's GVWR. Exceeding this weight will void the manufacturer's warranty. Refer to your vehicle owner's manual for manufacturer's towing specifications.
If the baseplate is in an accident, it must be replaced. Do not use it again. An accident can cause unseen damage, and using it again could result in more damage or serious injury. Do not use the baseplate if it is damaged or missing parts.
