Blue Ox is known internationally for recreational and commercial towing products, manufacturing in Pender, Nebraska since 1925. Yes, drilling is required. You must drill two holes under the frame using a 13/32" drill bit for the frame mounting bolts, and four additional holes using the same 13/32" drill bit for the bumper mounting bolts. When using power drills, be aware of the dangers of torque and drill bit length.
Yes, trimming is required. On the passenger side, use a hack saw blade to trim the air dam beside the radiator 2 1/4" up and 4 1/2" across. On the back side of the fascia, use a utility knife to cut to the bumper bracket that moulds around the bumper on both sides. Before reinstalling the washer reservoir, cut off the top right installation tab about 1 1/2" x 1 1/2". Finally, hold the fascia up in front of the baseplate, mark and trim the area needed for the baseplate to come through.

Permanent baseplate safety cables are strongly recommended when towing a vehicle with a tow bar. The cables must be connected from the baseplate to the frame rail or cross member of the vehicle's frame. Two 36" Class III baseplate safety cables are included in the kit. The cables must not be mounted against wires, hoses or brake lines. These cables are to be used in conjunction with, and not as a replacement for, legally required safety cables attaching the towed vehicle to the towing vehicle.
If the baseplate is in an accident, it must be replaced and not used again. An accident can cause unseen damage, and using it again could result in more damage or serious injury. Do not use the baseplate if it is damaged or missing parts.
Before each towing trip, inspect all towing equipment for cracked welds, missing or worn parts and loose bolts. Ensure all electrical connections are plugged in properly and functioning before installing the fascia. Be sure the safety cables do not rub against any hoses or moving parts. Replacement parts may be ordered through your nearest Blue Ox Dealer or Distributor. Do not substitute homemade or non-typical parts. Failing to use the correct replacement bolt will void the manufacturer's warranty.
