It features an OE style design to fully integrate with the front of the vehicle and maintain a factory look. This Ford F-150 tow bar baseplate is constructed from high-quality steel and is precisely welded for a perfect fit. It is physically tested for absolute safety and peace of mind while dinghy towing. It also features a unique co-cured finish of liquid A-coat and highly durable powder coat to protect against the outdoor elements. The bumper is reinstalled after base plate installation.
Skid plate removal is required for Raptor & Tremor 402A models only. For these models, remove one hex head bolt from the skid plate bracket on each side, then remove four hex head bolts (two from each side) under the tow hooks, and two bolts from the back of the skid plate. The skid plate is temporarily removed and reinstalled later using four shorter M10 bolts. Standard and Hybrid models do not require skid plate removal.
Yes, the factory tow hooks are permanently removed. During base plate installation, use a 15mm socket to remove the two bottom hex head bolts from each tow hook on both sides of the vehicle. These bolts will not be reinstalled.
