When you purchase a 5th wheel trailer hitch, you expect it to be capable of towing your RV, flatbed or whatever other 5th wheel trailer you own. While a 5th wheel hitch does offer an impressive amount of towing strength, it cannot get far without the proper installation equipment. Engineered for specific makes and models, CURT custom 5th wheel brackets provide the ideal solution for complementing the power of your 5th wheel trailer hitch. A custom 5th wheel bracket features a shape that contours to the frame of your truck and uses pre-drilled holes in the frame wherever possible to make installation quick and easy. Depending on your model of pickup truck, they also reduce or eliminate the need for drilling. These particular custom 5th wheel brackets offer a custom fit for certain model years of the Nissan Titan (see application info to verify fitment). Finished in a durable liquid A-coat, CURT custom 5th wheel brackets are made to last. They include all necessary mounting hardware and are designed to be used in conjunction with CURT industry-standard 5th wheel base rails #16104 or #16204 (base rails sold separately).

Yes, the CURT Custom 5th Wheel Brackets, Select Nissan Titan Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch Bracket (Part #BKDK16470) is designed to fit the 2004-2024 Nissan Titan.
The CURT Custom 5th Wheel Brackets, Select Nissan Titan Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch Bracket (Part #BKDK16470) Drilling is required for installation. Typical installation time is . Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
Yes, Curt 16470 is designed for Nissan Titan Crew Cab and King Cab models. It is compatible with 5-1/2', 6-1/2', 7', and 8' bed lengths. However, if your truck has a 7' bed or shorter, you must also purchase a Curt 5th Wheel Roller to prevent cab damage during sharp turns.
No. A Curt 5th Wheel Roller is required only when installing on 7' bed or shorter trucks. Longer beds do not require the roller.
Required tools are: ratchet, torque wrench, drill, tape measure, 3/4" socket, center punch, 17/32" drill bit, 1/8" drill bit, and a step drill (to enlarge 1/8" holes to 9/16"). A step drill is referenced in the installation steps but not explicitly listed in the tools section.
The kit includes: 18 x 1/2-13 UNC Grade 8 serrated flange nuts (20-00062), 10 x 1/2-13 UNC 2" carriage bolts (10-10288), 8 x 1/2-13 UNC 1-3/4" carriage bolts (10-10272), 10 x .250 x 1.50 x 1.50" round hole spacers (CM-SP22), 20 x .313" x 1.00 x 2.00" U-shape spacers (CM-SP136), 8 x .250 x 1.00 x 3.00" square hole spacers (CM-SP6), and 2 x 1/2" fishwire. Use only these supplied fasteners for installation.
No. Do not install mounting rails over plastic bed liners. Plastic liners must be trimmed away to ensure metal-to-metal contact between the mounting plates and the truck frame. Spray-in liners may be installed on.
Before drilling, verify that the frame rail is clear of any electrical or brake components where the side plates will attach. Measure to ensure adequate clearance between the truck and trailer to allow for turns. When drilling, protect electrical and brake components by placing a piece of metal between the drill and those components.
Yes. Drilling is required. You will drill holes for 1/2" bolts in the driver and passenger side frame rails (steps 1-2), drill 1/8" pilot holes in the truck bed floor (step 4), and enlarge those pilot holes to 9/16" (step 6). A 17/32" drill bit is also included in the tools list.
First, drill 1/8" pilot holes using a center punch to mark the positions shown on the rail location diagram (step 4). Then enlarge those 1/8" holes to 9/16" using a step drill (step 6). Frame access holes may also require enlargement.
You may need to flex the plastic wheel well trim and remove a wire clip to slide the front side plates into place during installation (step 9).
All 1/2" fasteners must be torqued to 110 ft-lbs. This includes the carriage bolts that fasten the rails to the frame bracket and all other 1/2" nuts and bolts. Torque all fasteners in step 12 after the mounting rails are fully positioned.
Center each mounting rail on the truck box floor. The distance from the rear edge of the truck box varies by bed length: 3.00" for short boxes (5-1/2' and 6-1/2'), and other distances for 7' and 8' beds as shown on the rail location diagram. The center line of the hitch is 31.150" from the center line of the axle. Each mounting rail must have at least one bolt in either of the available holes.
Use the supplied .313" x 1.00 x 2.00" U-shape spacers (CM-SP136) between the frame bracket or mounting rails and the truck box. These spacers ensure metal-to-metal contact and eliminate "rib crush" of the bed. Position them as shown in step 7.
Position the second mounting rail by inserting its tabs into the first mounting rail and pushing it tight toward the other rail. Ensure the second rail is centered on the truck box floor. This positioning ensures the 5th wheel has a snug fit. If using multiple hitch products, install both at the same time to ensure proper alignment and prevent one product from compromising the fit of the other.
Install the rear side plates first (steps 1-7), then the front side plates (steps 9-11). For each pair: align the plate over the existing hole in the frame rail, push up to the truck bed, mark the hole, remove the plate, drill for the 1/2" bolt, then repeat the drilling and fastening steps. The front plates may require flexing the plastic wheel well trim.
After installation, verify that all fasteners are tight and all structural components are sound. Periodically check the hitch to ensure fasteners remain tight and components remain in good condition. This is especially important before towing.
Do not exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity. The manual does not specify a separate capacity for the hitch itself; you must follow your Nissan Titan's factory towing limits.
A Curt 5th Wheel Roller must be used on 7' bed or shorter trucks to prevent cab damage when making sharp turns. The shorter bed length reduces the distance between the hitch and the cab, so the roller prevents the trailer from striking the cab during tight maneuvers.
Yes, Curt 16470 fits Nissan Titan Crew Cab and King Cab with 5-1/2', 6-1/2', 7', or 8' beds. For 7' beds or shorter, you must also purchase a Curt 5th Wheel Roller.
All 1/2" fasteners must be torqued to 110 ft-lbs.
