CURT OEM puck system 5th wheel rails for Chevrolet and GMC trucks combine the functionality of CURT 5th wheel puck system products with the strength and convenience of the factory truck bed puck system. The rails are industry-standard to securely mount a CURT 5th wheel hitch or any other 5th wheel with industry-standard mounts. They are designed to fit select model years of the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD and 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD (see application info to verify fitment). The rails feature a set of adjustable, quarter-turn anchors to quickly and easily drop into the pucks and provide a moveable platform for the 5th wheel coupling point. This puck system adapter requires a specific puck system for installation (year range specific). It features a capacity of 30,000 lbs. GTW and a vertical load limit of 7,500 lbs. (weight capacities are limited to the lowest-rated towing component). Like our other OEM puck system 5th wheel products, the key feature of these puck system 5th wheel rails are their quarter-turn anchors. The rails can easily be dropped into place whenever needed and secured with the quarter-turn anchors. The anchors can also be adjusted to help eliminate chucking noises between the rails and under-bed platform while towing. When you are finished towing, simply turn the anchors to remove the entire assembly within seconds. CURT 5th wheel rails for Chevrolet and GMC pickup trucks provide the ultimate in versatility for the CURT 5th wheel line. They are tested for safety in accordance with SAE J2638 and are coated in a highly durable carbide black powder coat finish to protect against scratches and rust.

The CURT Puck System 5th Wheel Rails, Select Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra 2500 HD, 3500 HD Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch Mount Leg (Part #BKDK16050) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
The CURT 16050 has a gross trailer weight (GTW) capacity of 30,000 lbs and a tongue weight (TW) capacity of 7,500 lbs. Never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity, as this is the limiting factor for safe operation.
The CURT 16050 is designed to mount into factory puck mounts in the truck bed. The manual does not specify which vehicle makes, models, years, or bed lengths are compatible. Contact CURT product support at 877-287-8634 or visit curtmfg.com to confirm fitment for your specific truck.
Yes. The CURT 16050 mounts directly into the puck mounts in the truck bed. If your truck does not have factory puck mounts, this product cannot be installed without additional modifications. Verify your truck has puck mounts before purchasing.
You will need a ratchet, socket set, torque wrench, and M10 hex drive. These tools are required to secure the base plates and roller mount assemblies and to torque all fasteners to the specified 65 ft-lbs.
The CURT 16050 includes: one rear roller mount assembly, one front roller mount assembly, two base plates, eight M12 carriage bolts, and eight M12 serrated flange nuts. All hardware needed for installation is included.
Yes. Remove the puck caps from the truck bed if present before beginning installation. These caps must be removed to access the puck mounts where the roller mount assemblies will be installed.
Remove the lynch pins securing the locking handles on both the front and rear roller mount assemblies. Swing open all four handles to prepare the assemblies for mounting into the truck bed puck mounts.
Face the handles towards the front and rear of the truck bed. This orientation ensures proper alignment and operation of the locking mechanisms.
Align the mounting holes on the base plates with the slots in the roller mount assemblies. Secure them using the eight M12 carriage bolts and eight M12 serrated flange nuts. Torque all M12 hardware to 65 ft-lbs using a torque wrench.
All M12 carriage bolts and M12 serrated flange nuts must be torqued to 65 ft-lbs. Use a calibrated torque wrench to ensure proper fastener tension and prevent over-tightening or under-tightening.
After the legs are secured and positioned in the truck bed puck mounts, rotate the handles back to the closed position. Secure each handle by inserting the provided lynch pins. Slight resistance should be felt as the handles are rotated closed. Do not force the handles closed, as this may damage the locking bolt and handle.
Confirm that both locking bolts are engaged in the truck bed puck mounts and the barrel nuts are secured with the cotter pins. Ensure all handles are securely locked with the lynch pin before using the product.
If one or more locking handles will not close with moderate pressure, the T-bolts require adjustment. Remove the cotter pin securing the barrel nut above the handle. Loosen the barrel nut 1/4-turn while pressing down on the T-bolt, then reattempt to close the handle. Repeat this process in 1/4-turn increments until the handle closes smoothly. Re-secure the barrel nut with the cotter pin once the handle closes.
Forcing the handle closed may damage the locking bolt and handle, possibly resulting in trailer detachment. Always apply only moderate pressure when closing the handles. If a handle resists, perform the T-bolt adjustment procedure instead of forcing it.
Periodic inspection of the product should be performed to ensure all hardware and components remain secure. The manual does not specify the exact inspection interval. Contact CURT product support at 877-287-8634 for recommended maintenance and inspection schedules.
