You must lower the exhaust, not fully remove it. On the driver's side, disconnect the rubber exhaust hanger forward of the muffler (lubricating spray is recommended). On the passenger's side, remove the exhaust hanger bracket by removing (2) M8 fasteners and discard them. The exhaust is then lowered to provide access for hitch installation.
