Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.

The 75540 hitch has a maximum gross trailer weight of 4500 lb (2043 kg) and maximum tongue weight of 675 lb (306 kg) for both weight-carrying and weight-distributing configurations. However, you must not exceed the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or these limits.
Required tools are: ratchet, torque wrench, safety glasses, sockets (10 mm, 12 mm, 17 mm, 19 mm), socket extension, flat-head screwdriver, hacksaw, tape, and marker. The hacksaw is needed to trim the lower fascia on model year 2022 and later RX350, and to trim the underbody panel on RX450H.
Fastener Kit 75540F includes: (4) M12×1.25×40 CL10.9 bolts, and (4) 1/2" conical washers. For RX450H only, the kit also includes (2) 3/8" conical washers and (2) M8×1.25 CL10 hex nuts for exhaust hanger reattachment.
The manual does not specify whether battery disconnection is required. Contact Horizon Global technical support at 800-632-3290 or TechnicalSupport@horizonglobal.com for clarification.
The manual states that installation time averages 20–30 minutes for RX350 and 40 minutes for RX450H for professional installers. If you do not feel comfortable performing the installation yourself or need assistance, contact a professional installer.
No drilling is required for RX350 installation. The hitch uses existing weldnuts on the frame rail. However, for model year 2022 and later, you must trim the lower fascia using a hacksaw in a 3" × 3" area marked from the centerline of the sensor bracket tab.
No drilling is required. The hitch uses existing weldnuts on the frame rail. However, you must trim the underbody panel in two places using a hacksaw (7.5" trim area on the passenger side). You must obtain the vehicle owner's approval before cutting the appearance panel.
No. Fascia trimming is required only for RX350 model year 2022 and later, and only if a sensor bracket is present behind the lower fascia. The trim area is 3" × 3", marked from the centerline of the sensor bracket tab, and must be cut with a hacksaw without cutting the sensor bracket itself.
No. The manual explicitly states: "Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch." You must use a hacksaw to trim the fascia or underbody panel.
All M12 fasteners must be tightened to 76 Ft.-Lb. (103 N·M) using a torque wrench. This applies to both RX350 and RX450H installations.
M8 fasteners on the RX450H exhaust hanger must be tightened to 27 Lb.-Ft. (37 N·M) using a torque wrench.
The conical washer teeth side must be oriented against the hitch. The washers are installed between the bolts and the hitch mounting points on both sides.
No. For RX350, the exhaust does not need to be removed. However, you must bend the exhaust heat shield as necessary to keep it from touching the hitch.
Yes. For RX450H, you must remove the exhaust hanger by unbolting (2) M8 bolts from the passenger side using a 12 mm socket. Retain these bolts for reinstallation. After installing the hitch, reinstall the exhaust hanger using the original M8 bolts, (2) 3/8" conical washers, and (2) M8×1.25 hex nuts.
For RX450H, you must remove: (1) the underbody panel (13 fasteners, including 1 plunger-style fastener hidden behind wheel well trim on driver side), (2) three rearmost hole plugs from the driver side frame rail, (3) the tow loop and (2) M12 bolts from the passenger side frame rail, and (4) the exhaust hanger (2 M8 bolts from passenger side). Return the tie-down bracket, hole plugs, tow loop, and fasteners to the vehicle owner.
For RX350, you must remove: (1) the tie-down bracket (2 bolts using 17 mm socket) from the passenger side, and (2) the weldnut covers (2 plastic caps and 1 rubber plug) from the driver side. Return the tie-down bracket to the vehicle owner. For model year 2022 and later, also remove two tabs from the sensor bracket if present.
After installing the hitch and tightening all fasteners: (1) reinstall the exhaust hanger using the original M8 bolts, (2) 3/8" conical washers, and (2) M8×1.25 hex nuts; (2) trim the underbody panel in two places using a hacksaw (obtain vehicle owner approval first); (3) reinstall the underbody panel using the 13 fasteners previously removed, sliding the rear of the panel in place first for ease of installation.
Always wear safety glasses when installing the hitch. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A damaged hitch or ball must be removed and replaced.
Always wear your seatbelt. Load the trailer heavier in front. Do not exceed the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or 4500 lb GVWR / 675 lb tongue weight. Slow down when towing and never exceed any posted speed limit. If excess sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel as steady as possible. Do not apply brakes and do not speed up.
Check the hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing. The manual does not specify a retorque interval or detailed post-installation inspection checklist. Contact Horizon Global technical support at 800-632-3290 for detailed maintenance guidance.

Yes, the 75540 is designed for 2016-Current Lexus RX350 and RX450H. Check www.horizonglobal.com for the most current application information.
Maximum 4500 lb gross trailer weight and 675 lb tongue weight. Do not exceed the lower of your vehicle manufacturer's rating or these limits.
Ratchet, torque wrench, safety glasses, sockets (10, 12, 17, 19 mm), socket extension, flat-head screwdriver, hacksaw, tape, and marker.
No drilling required. The hitch uses existing weldnuts. However, RX350 (2022+) requires fascia trimming (3" × 3") and RX450H requires underbody panel trimming (7.5") using a hacksaw.
M12 bolts: 76 Ft.-Lb. (103 N·M). M8 bolts (RX450H exhaust only): 27 Lb.-Ft. (37 N·M). Use a torque wrench.
Yes. Remove the exhaust hanger (2 M8 bolts) before installing the hitch. Reinstall it after hitch installation using the original bolts, conical washers, and hex nuts.
Safety glasses are required. Observe safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle. Do not use a torch to cut holes.
Check frequently that all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. Proper torque is essential for safe towing.
Bend the exhaust heat shield as necessary to keep it from touching the hitch. This adjustment is made during step 4 of the RX350 installation.
Tighten all M12 fasteners to 76 Ft.-Lb. (103 N·M) using a torque wrench. For RX450H, also tighten M8 fasteners to 27 Lb.-Ft. (37 N·M). Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners remain properly tightened, as proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure during towing.
The plunger-style fastener is hidden behind the wheel well trim on the driver side. You must remove the wheel well trim to access it. This is one of the 13 fasteners that secure the underbody panel.
Do not cut on the sensor bracket. Mark a 3" × 3" trimming area based on the centerline of the bottom tab of the sensor bracket, and trim only the fascia area highlighted. If the sensor bracket is not present, you may not need to trim the fascia at all (fascia trimming is required only for model year 2022 and later if a sensor bracket is present).
Ensure you have trimmed the underbody panel in both required places (7.5" trim area on the passenger side). When reinstalling, slide the rear of the panel in place first for ease of installation. If the panel still does not fit, verify that you have trimmed the correct areas and that the hitch is properly positioned.
Yes, a compatible bike rack, cargo carrier or other accessory with a 2" x 2" shank can generally be used. Make sure the accessory does not exceed the hitch’s tongue weight rating, the vehicle’s limits or the accessory manufacturer’s capacity. Account for the combined weight of the carrier and everything loaded onto it.
