Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.

Maximum Gross Trailer Weight: 2000 lb (907 kg). Maximum Tongue Weight: 300 lb (136 kg). Do not exceed the lower of your vehicle manufacturer's towing rating or these limits.
Required tools: ratchet, torque wrench, safety glasses, 11/16" sockets, socket extension, die grinder, exhaust removal pliers, masking tape, and soapy water. A torque wrench is essential for proper fastener tightening.
Yes. The exhaust must be lowered before installation. Using exhaust removal pliers, remove the two rubber hangers to lower the exhaust. Ensure the exhaust is supported before removing the hangers. Soapy water or spray lubricant on the rubber hangers makes removal easier. The exhaust is reinstalled after hitch installation.
Yes. A die grinder must be used to enlarge the vehicle frame access holes on each side to fit the carriage bolt and spacers. The access holes are enlarged as needed. Do not use a torch to cut access or attachment holes.
All 7/16" fasteners: 50 Ft.-Lb. (68 N·M). All 1/2" fasteners: 75 Ft.-Lb. (102 N·M). Use a torque wrench to achieve proper torque, which is necessary to keep the hitch secure during towing.
Maximum tongue weight is 300 lb (136 kg). Do not exceed this limit or the lower of your vehicle manufacturer's towing rating.
Check that all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners remain tight and the hitch is securely mounted to the vehicle. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water and exhaust fume entry.
Fastener Kit 76630F includes: (4) carriage bolts 7/16"-14 x 1.50" GR5, (2) spacers .250" x .875" x 3", (2) spacers .188" x 1" x 2", (4) flat washers 7/16", (4) conical washers 7/16", (4) hex nuts 7/16"-14 GR2, (4) pull wires 7/16", (1) carriage bolt 1/2"-13 x 2.00" GR5, (1) spacer .250" x 1.50" x 3", (1) conical washer 1/2", and (1) lock nut 1/2"-13.
1. Lower the exhaust using exhaust removal pliers. 2. Enlarge frame access holes with a die grinder on each side. 3. Secure two flat washers to the rearmost attachment points with masking tape. 4. Feed the carriage bolt and spacer through the access hole using pull wires. 5. Reverse the pull wire procedure with the second carriage bolt and spacer in the access hole. 6. Raise the hitch and feed the pull wire through the hitch bracket slot. 7. Remove pull wires and loosely install conical washers and hex nuts. 8. Loosely secure the center bracket to the tow hook with the 1/2" carriage bolt, spacer, conical washer, and nut. 9. Tighten all 7/16" fasteners to 50 Ft.-Lb. (68 N·M). 10. Tighten all 1/2" fasteners to 75 Ft.-Lb. (102 N·M). 11. Reinstall the exhaust.
Pull wires are used to feed the carriage bolts and spacers through the frame access holes. Feed the carriage bolt and spacer (rearmost hole) through the access hole using the pull wires. Then reverse the pull wire procedure to install the carriage bolt and spacer in the other access hole. Leave pull wires attached. After raising the hitch, feed the previously installed pull wire through the hitch bracket slot. Finally, remove all pull wires before installing the conical washers and hex nuts. Kink the pull wire to keep the spacer independent of the bolt.
Loosely install means to hand-tighten fasteners without using a torque wrench. During installation, the conical washers and hex nuts on the frame attachment points, and the center bracket fasteners to the tow hook, are initially installed loose. Only after all loose fasteners are in place do you use a torque wrench to tighten all 7/16" fasteners to 50 Ft.-Lb. (68 N·M) and all 1/2" fasteners to 75 Ft.-Lb. (102 N·M).
Conical washers are used to secure the fasteners and distribute load. The conical washer teeth side must be oriented against the hitch. Conical washers are installed on both the 7/16" fasteners (4 total) and the 1/2" fastener (1 total) at the tow hook connection.
Using masking tape, secure two flat washers to the rearmost attachment points on the frame. The flat washers are positioned at these points before feeding the carriage bolts and spacers through the access holes.
Enlarge the access holes as needed to fit the carriage bolt and spacers on each side. The manual does not specify an exact enlarged hole size; enlargement is done to fit the specific fastener and spacer dimensions. Use a die grinder to perform this enlargement.
Always wear safety glasses when installing the hitch. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle. Ensure the exhaust is supported before removing rubber hangers. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. Do not cut, weld, or modify the receiver. Wear eye protection at all times during installation.
If excess sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel as steady as possible. Do not apply your brakes and do not speed up. Slow down when towing and never exceed any posted speed limit.
Load the trailer heavier in front. This helps maintain proper weight distribution and stability during towing.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual emphasizes periodic checking to maintain secure mounting to the vehicle during towing.
If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. This protects the vehicle's interior and prevents corrosion.
A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Do not continue to use a damaged hitch or ball.
The average installation time for professional installers is 40 minutes. If you do not feel comfortable performing this installation on your own or are in need of assistance, please contact a professional installer.

A spray lubricant or soapy water on the rubber hangers makes them slide off the metal pins more easily. Either option is acceptable.
Check all fasteners and retighten them to the proper torque specifications: 7/16" fasteners to 50 Ft.-Lb. (68 N·M) and 1/2" fasteners to 75 Ft.-Lb. (102 N·M). The manual emphasizes checking the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners remain properly tightened, as vibration during towing can cause fasteners to loosen over time.
Yes, a compatible bike rack, cargo carrier or other accessory with a 2" x 2" shank can generally be used. Make sure the accessory does not exceed the hitch’s tongue weight rating, the vehicle’s limits or the accessory manufacturer’s capacity. Account for the combined weight of the carrier and everything loaded onto it.
