Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.
Shop CURT 2-inch trailer hitches at TowUniverse for vehicle-specific fitment, trusted towing performance and access to the accessories needed to complete your towing setup.

The Draw-tite Ultra Frame® Class 5 Trailer Hitch, 2" Square Receiver, Black for Select Ford F-350 Super Duty, Ford F-450 Super Duty, Ford F-550 Super Duty 41943 (Part #DT41943) Drilling is required for installation. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
Yes. Part number 41943 is designed for Ford F-350, F-450, and F-550 cab and chassis vehicles. The installation procedure differs slightly between F-350 and F-450/550 models, particularly in how the side brackets align with existing frame holes and rivets.
The hitch supports a maximum gross trailer weight of 16,000 lb (7,264 kg) and maximum tongue weight of 2,400 lb (1,090 kg) when used with a weight-carrying ball mount. With a weight-distributing hitch, the maximum tongue weight is 1,600 lb (726 kg). Do not exceed the lower of the towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or these limits.
You will need wrenches in sizes 13/16", 7/8", 21mm, and 22mm; drill bits in 1/2" and 9/16" sizes; a torque wrench; and C-clamps to hold the brackets during alignment and drilling. A wood or metal shield is also required to protect the fuel filler hose and electrical wires on the driver's side frame rail during drilling.
Yes. You must drill holes in the frame rail using a 1/2" drill bit for center holes and a 9/16" drill bit for forward and rearmost attachment holes on all models. For F-450/550 models, one existing hole is enlarged rather than drilled new. A wood or metal shield must be placed between the frame and fuel tank on the driver's side to prevent puncturing the fuel filler hose or damaging electrical wires when the drill breaks through the frame.
F-350 models: Raise side brackets and align the rivet clearance hole and notch in the bracket with the rivets, then clamp to the frame rail. F-450/550 models: Raise the side bracket and align the existing hole in the frame with the forward attachment hole, then align the rivet clearance holes with the outermost rivets, then clamp to the frame rail. Both models then follow the same procedure for drilling and fastener installation.
1. Position and clamp side brackets to frame rail (procedure varies by model). 2. Use center section to check width between side brackets and adjust if necessary. 3. Mark holes using side bracket as template, remove brackets to allow drill access. 4. Drill center holes with 1/2" bit and forward/rearmost holes with 9/16" bit. 5. Loosely install fasteners for side brackets. 6. Raise center section into position and install fasteners. 7. Tighten all fasteners to specified torque values.
Yes. The wiring harness may need to be relocated to allow access to the center attachment holes on the driver's side frame rail. This is noted as a potential requirement during the drilling and fastener installation steps.
Tighten all M14 fasteners with a torque wrench to 148 lb.-ft. (201 N·m). Tighten all 1/2" fasteners with a torque wrench to 110 lb.-ft. (149 N·m). Tighten all 9/16" fasteners with a torque wrench to 120 lb.-ft. (163 N·m). The M14 nut block may require a wrench to hold it until it is tight against the frame surface.
Kit 41943F includes: 8 hex bolts 9/16"-18 x 1.75" GR5; 4 carriage bolts 1/2"-13 x 1.75" GR8; 12 washers 9/16" hardened flat; 4 blocks 1/4" x 1-1/2" x 2"; 8 flanged locknuts 9/16"-18; 4 conical washers 1/2"; 4 hex bolts M14x1.5 x 45mm CL10.9; 4 nuts 1/2"-13 GR8; 2 flanged nuts M14x1.5 CL10; and 2 nut blocks M14x1.5 CL10.
Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. A wood or metal shield must be placed between the frame and fuel tank on the driver's side to prevent puncturing the fuel filler hose or damaging electrical wires when drilling. After installation, if the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
Check the hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced.
Yes. The fuel filler hose and electrical wires are located above some of the holes on the driver's side frame rail. A wood or metal shield must be placed between the frame and the fuel tank to prevent puncturing the fuel filler hose or damaging the electrical wires when the drill breaks through the frame. Additionally, the wiring harness may need to be relocated to allow access to the center attachment holes on the driver's side frame rail.
This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
The center section of the hitch is used to check the width between the side brackets and to adjust the spacing if necessary before drilling. This ensures proper alignment of the hitch assembly on the frame.
Fasteners for the side brackets should be installed loosely first (step 4). The center section is then raised into position and its fasteners installed (step 5). Only after all fasteners are in place should they be tightened to the specified torque values (step 6).
Yes, part 41943 fits Ford F-350, F-450, and F-550 cab and chassis vehicles. Installation steps differ slightly between F-350 and F-450/550 models.
Maximum gross trailer weight is 16,000 lb (7,264 kg); maximum tongue weight is 2,400 lb (1,090 kg) with weight-carrying ball mount or 1,600 lb (726 kg) with weight-distributing hitch. Do not exceed the lower of the vehicle manufacturer's rating or these limits.
Yes. Drill 1/2" holes for center attachments and 9/16" holes for forward and rearmost attachments. A wood or metal shield must protect the fuel filler hose and electrical wires on the driver's side during drilling.
Wrenches (13/16", 7/8", 21mm, 22mm), drill bits (1/2", 9/16"), torque wrench, C-clamps, and a wood or metal shield to protect fuel and electrical components during drilling.
M14 fasteners: 148 lb.-ft. (201 N·m); 1/2" fasteners: 110 lb.-ft. (149 N·m); 9/16" fasteners: 120 lb.-ft. (163 N·m). Use a torque wrench for all fasteners.
Wear eye protection. Do not use a torch to cut holes. Place a wood or metal shield between frame and fuel tank on driver's side before drilling to prevent fuel hose puncture or electrical wire damage. Check hitch frequently after installation to ensure all fasteners and ball are tight.
Yes. F-350 models align the rivet clearance hole and bracket notch with rivets. F-450/550 models align the existing frame hole with the forward attachment hole and rivet clearance holes with outermost rivets. Drilling and fastener installation are the same for all models.
Yes, a compatible bike rack, cargo carrier or other accessory with a 2" x 2" shank can generally be used. Make sure the accessory does not exceed the hitch’s tongue weight rating, the vehicle’s limits or the accessory manufacturer’s capacity. Account for the combined weight of the carrier and everything loaded onto it.
