Get the job done right with LUVERNE Grip Step 7" running boards. These roughneck truck side steps feature a unique expanded metal tread pattern for superior traction and a 7" width for reliable footing. They are built from aluminum alloy for exceptional, rust-free strength, and they are simple to install using high-strength vehicle-specific brackets. The rugged, expanded metal tread and angular design of Grip Step running boards truly makes them a side accessory fit for your work truck or commercial van. No matter the season, the superior traction of Grip Steps locks onto the bottom of your boots and provides safe vehicle entry and exit. Because they boast an impressive 7" width, the side steps are as comfortable as they are skid-resistant. We know the job doesn't make exceptions to keep your vehicle looking pretty, and that is why Grip Step running boards are made from aluminum and shielded in a tough powder coat finish. We use a 5052 aluminum alloy to provide maximum strength and unstoppable rust resistance. To finish things off and add a professional touch, we also apply a durable textured black powder coat and contoured black plastic end caps to further protect against dirt, moisture and other threats on the job. To make installation as simple as possible, Grip Step 7" running boards are each designed for a custom-fit installation, using vehicle-specific mounting brackets. The brackets are covered in a durable black powder coat finish and bolt onto the boards using stainless steel fasteners for long-lasting strength. This particular set of Grip Step running boards is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 1500, 2500 HD, 3500 HD or Suburban and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 HD, 3500 HD or Yukon XL (see application info to verify fitment). These running boards come with brackets, but the brackets are shipped separately.
Grip Step running boards are designed to be the best running boards for work trucks, featuring a unique expanded metal tread pattern for superior traction and a 7" width for reliable footing.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Yes, the Curt 401443 step brackets fit 2014 GM Silverado Double and Crew Cab pickups. They are designed specifically for these models and the 2015 Tahoe, Suburban, Avalanche, Yukon, and Yukon XL.
Yes, the Curt 401443 step brackets are compatible with 2015 GM Tahoe, Suburban, Avalanche, Yukon, and Yukon XL models.
No. The Curt 401443 brackets are designed only for 2014 GM Silverado and Sierra Double Cab and Crew Cab models. Single cab models are not listed as compatible.
The kit includes: 3 mounting brackets (RH and LH), 12 M8 × 30 mm stainless steel screws, 12 standard flat washers, 6 5/16" × 1.00" zinc-plated screws, 6 M8 flanged nuts, 6 5/16" U-nuts, and 6 pinch weld support brackets. Note: fastener selection depends on whether your vehicle has threaded inserts in the rocker panel.
Yes. Before starting installation, verify that your vehicle has either threaded inserts or U-nut holes in the rocker panel. Some vehicles have factory-installed threaded inserts in the rocker panels, which affects which fasteners you will use. Confirm all required parts are on hand before beginning.
1. Insert 5/16" U-nuts into the upper holes in the rocker panel (unless your vehicle has threaded inserts). 2. Attach the top of the brackets using either 5/16-18 × 1.0 screws with flat washers (if no threaded inserts) or M8 × 30 mm screws (if threaded inserts are present). Hand tighten only at this stage. 3. Install the M8 screw and washer through the pinch weld support bracket above the pinch weld, then install the M8 flanged nut. 4. Tighten all fasteners to 19 lb-ft. Refer to the included figures for bracket positioning.
Vehicles without threaded inserts require 5/16" U-nuts inserted into the rocker panel holes and 5/16-18 × 1.0 screws with flat washers for the top bracket attachment. Vehicles with factory threaded inserts do not need U-nuts and instead use M8 × 30 mm screws. The pinch weld support bracket and M8 flanged nut installation is the same for both types.
All fasteners on the mounting brackets must be tightened to 19 lb-ft. Fasteners should be hand tightened initially, then torqued to this specification.
No. Hand tighten all fasteners initially. After all brackets are positioned, tighten all fasteners to the final torque specification of 19 lb-ft.
Yes. The step assembly installation requires separate instructions that are included with your step assembly. Review those instructions for specific details on attaching the steps to the mounting brackets.
2014 GM Silverado & Sierra Double/Crew Cab Pickups and 2015 GM Tahoe/Suburban/Avalanche/Yukon/Yukon XL.
Use M8 × 30 mm screws instead of 5/16-18 × 1.0 screws. Do not install U-nuts. All other fasteners and the torque specification of 19 lb-ft remain the same.
Tighten all fasteners to 19 lb-ft after hand tightening and positioning the brackets.
Hand tighten all fasteners first to position the brackets, then tighten to 19 lb-ft.
