We know the job doesn't make exceptions to keep your vehicle looking pretty, and that is why Grip Step running boards are made from aluminum and shielded in a tough powder coat finish. We use a 5052 aluminum alloy to provide maximum strength and unstoppable rust resistance. To finish things off and add a professional touch, we also apply a durable textured black powder coat and contoured black plastic end caps to further protect against dirt, moisture and other threats on the job. To make installation as simple as possible, Grip Step 7" running boards are each designed for a custom-fit installation, using vehicle-specific mounting brackets. The brackets are covered in a durable black powder coat finish and bolt onto the boards using stainless steel fasteners for long-lasting strength. This particular set of Grip Step running boards is designed to fit specific years of the Toyota Tundra (see application info to verify fitment). These running boards come with brackets, but the brackets are shipped separately.

The Curt Model 400752 step brackets fit 2007 and newer Toyota Tundra Double Cab and Crew Maxx pickups. Verify your truck model and year before purchase. The brackets attach to existing threaded inserts in the rocker panel, so no drilling is required.
The kit includes 16 M8-1.25 × 25 mm zinc-plated hex head cap screws (part 102549), 16 lock washers 5/16" zinc-plated (part 100030), and 16 flat washers 5/16" zinc-plated (part 100034). These fasteners attach the four mounting brackets (two of each type: #1, #2, #3, and #4) to the vehicle.
Each bracket is marked with notches on the inboard edge to identify its position. Bracket #1 (part 551985) has one notch and mounts at the front of the vehicle. Brackets #2, #3, and #4 have corresponding notches and progress toward the rear. Position the brackets so both mounting holes line up with the threaded inserts in the rocker panel before fastening.
Tighten all M8-1.25 × 25 mm hex head cap screws to 19 lb-ft after levelling the brackets. Use a 5/16" flat washer and lock washer under each screw head.
