LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Ram 1500 and Dodge Ram 1500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Original price was $865.95. Current price is $759.95.The W2W Mega Step Brackets (model 570938) are designed for 09-16 RAM 1500 Pickups only. Installation requires a specific bracket package matched to your vehicle model. Consult the bracket package instructions for your particular RAM truck.
Curt Manufacturing offers nine O-MEGA II 6" Oval Step models: 583098, 583102, 583108, 583114, 583125, 584098, 584102, 584114, and 584125. These are universal application steps that work with specific bracket packages for different vehicles.
The O-MEGA II steps include: (5) 8-18×1/2" TEK screws per step pad (Item #6), (28) 5/16-18×1" square head screws (Item #4), and (28) 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts (Item #5). Step pads are attached with TEK screws; the step assembly is mounted to brackets with square head screws and serrated flange nuts.
Yes. When installing step pads (Item #2) on the step plates, you must drill (5) 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide. The pads are then attached with (5) 8-18×1/2" TEK screws (Item #6). Repeat this process for all step pads.
Use the Step Pad Location Guide on Sheet #2 for your specific vehicle model. The guide provides measurements for Pad A and Pad B positions. Note that due to the shortness of some boxes, mount the box step pad first, approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly. Pad locations are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
Tighten the end cap nuts (Item #3) to 5 lb ft. This is a relatively light torque value to avoid over-tightening the plastic end caps.
Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) on the square head screws (Item #4) and tighten to 19 lb ft. The step must be centered front to rear on the vehicle, with the square head screws located in the slots of the mounting brackets.
Follow this sequence: (1) Verify all required parts are on hand; (2) Mount brackets to vehicle per bracket package instructions; (3) Attach step pads to step plates using 1/8" drilled holes and TEK screws; (4) Install square head bolts into designated slots in step plate bottoms; (5) Install end caps and tighten to 5 lb ft; (6) Position step on brackets with square head screws in bracket slots, center front to rear, and tighten serrated flange nuts to 19 lb ft.
Yes. 2009-2012 RAM 1500 trucks do not have obround holes in the pinchweld and will require drilling (2) 5/16" holes for each bracket. To locate the holes, follow the bracket positioning steps, mark the pinchweld with the bracket in place, then drill the 5/16" holes. Trucks from 2013-2016 have pre-drilled obround holes.
For RAM trucks with threaded inserts: (1) Place the driver's side front bracket (Item #1) to the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange outside; (2) Align the two rectangular holes with the obround holes in the pinchweld; (3) Insert two 1/4-20×1" carriage bolts (Item #18) through the lower flange and pinchweld; (4) Add 1/4" flat washer (Item #19) and 1/4-20 flange nut (Item #20), leave finger tight; (5) Insert M8×25mm screw (Item #21) with 5/16" flat washer (Item #22) through upper mounting flange slots, leave finger tight; (6) Repeat for middle (Item #2) and rear (Item #3) brackets; (7) Mirror this process on the passenger side using Items #2 (front), #1 (middle), and #4 (rear).
For RAM trucks without threaded inserts: (1) Install the T-bolt weldment (Item #24) into the large obround hole with the nut end first, leaving the threaded stud exposed; (2) Attach the flat plastic bolt retainer (Item #25) to the threaded stud to prevent the T-bolt from falling into the rocker panel; (3) Place the driver's side front bracket (Item #1) to the pinchweld with lower mounting flange outside; (4) Align rectangular holes with obround holes in pinchweld; (5) Insert two 1/4-20×1" carriage bolts (Item #18) through lower flange and pinchweld; (6) Add 1/4" flat washer (Item #19) and 1/4-20 flange nut (Item #20), leave finger tight; (7) Place flat washer (Item #22) and M8 flange nut (Item #23) on the T-bolt threaded stud, leave finger tight; (8) Rotate T-bolt so threaded nut is visible through the slotted hole in upper mounting flange; (9) Insert M8×25mm screw (Item #21) with 5/16" flat washer (Item #22), leave finger tight; (10) Repeat for middle and rear brackets; (11) Mirror on passenger side.
Attach the inboard mounting brackets (Item #6 for right side, Item #7 for left side) to the frame using 1/2-13×1.00" hex screws (Item #11), 1/2" washers (Item #10), and 1/2-13 serrated flange nuts (Item #12). Note that these brackets are not the same from left to right. Leave this bracket loose at this time; do not tighten until all brackets and boards are installed and adjusted.
Attach the W2W support bracket (Item #8) to the inboard mounting bracket using two 3/8-16×1" hex screws (Item #9), two 3/8" washers (Item #16), and two 3/8-16 flange nuts (Item #17). Also attach the support bracket to the frame using one 1/2-13×1" hex screw (Item #11), one 1/2" washer (Item #10), and one 1/2-13 serrated flange nut (Item #12). Leave this bracket loose at this time.
Install the W2W outboard mounting bracket (Item #5) to the inboard W2W bracket using two black 5/16-18×1" hex screws (Item #14), two black 5/16" washers (Item #15), and two black 5/16-18 flange nuts (Item #13). Leave this bracket loose at this time; do not tighten until all brackets and boards are installed and adjusted.
Do not tighten any fasteners until after you have installed the step plates and adjusted all brackets and boards. Step 4 instructs to install the step plates and adjust brackets and boards before tightening all fasteners. This allows for proper alignment and positioning before final tightening.
The W2W Mega Step Brackets require: (12) 1/4-20×1" carriage bolts (Item #18), (12) 1/4" flat washers (Item #19), (12) 1/4-20 flange nuts (Item #20), (12) M8×25mm hex head screws (Item #21), (12) 5/16" flat washers (Item #22), (6) M8 hex flange nuts (Item #23), (6) T-bolt weldments (Item #24), (6) plastic bolt retainers (Item #25), (4) 3/8-16×1" hex screws (Item #9), (4) 3/8" washers (Item #16), (4) 3/8-16 flange nuts (Item #17), (4) 1/2-13×1" hex screws (Item #11), (4) 1/2" washers (Item #10), (4) 1/2-13 serrated flange nuts (Item #12), (4) black 5/16-18×1" hex screws (Item #14), (4) black 5/16" washers (Item #15), and (4) black 5/16-18 flange nuts (Item #13).

Yes. You must drill (5) 1/8" holes per step pad using the pad as a guide, then attach the pads with TEK screws. Additionally, 2009-2012 RAM 1500 trucks require drilling (2) 5/16" holes in the pinchweld for each bracket.
End caps: 5 lb ft. Step mounting to brackets: 19 lb ft. These are the only torque values specified in the O-MEGA II instructions.
Yes. All fasteners on the pinchweld brackets, inboard brackets, support bracket, and outboard bracket must be left finger tight during installation. Tighten all fasteners only after the step plates are installed and all brackets and boards are adjusted.
The manual specifies that drilling is required (1/8" holes for O-MEGA II pads, 5/16" holes for some RAM trucks). The manual does not specify other tools required. Consult your bracket package instructions for additional tool requirements.
The manual provides a Step Pad Location Guide with suggested positions for specific vehicles. However, the note states that pad locations are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion. Use the guide as a reference but you may adjust positions as needed.
