LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Ram 1500 and Dodge Ram 1500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Steps are designed for universal application across multiple vehicle types, including Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Chevrolet Express Van, GMC Savana Van, RAM pickups (Quad Cab, Crew Cab, Mega Cab), and Ford F-150 and Super Duty trucks. However, you must use the correct bracket package for your specific vehicle model and cab style. Refer to the bracket package instructions for your vehicle to confirm compatibility.
The W2W MEGA/GRIP Step Brackets (model 570939/400939) are designed specifically for 09-16 RAM 1500 Pickups. They are not compatible with other RAM models or years.
The O-MEGA II kit includes: two aluminum extrusions (length varies by model), six step pads, four end caps, 28 square head screws (5/16-18 x 1"), 28 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 30 TEK screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). The extrusion length options are 95.0", 99.0", 105.0", 111.0", or 122.0" in either silver or black aluminum. Verify all parts are present before starting installation.
The W2W kit includes mounting brackets (front, center, rear inboard and outboard, W2W inboard and outboard, and support brackets), load reaction studs (3" and 4" lengths), M12 bolts, 3/8" and 1/2" fasteners, serrated flange nuts, flat washers, rubber cushion washers, and 5/16" stainless steel fasteners. A complete parts list with part numbers and quantities is provided in the service parts list. Verify all parts are present before starting installation.
Yes. The O-MEGA II steps must be mounted to a bracket package specific to your vehicle. The manual states to "follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package that you are using, to mount the brackets to your vehicle." The bracket package is not included with the O-MEGA II kit and must be purchased separately for your vehicle model and cab style.
Before attaching the steps to the brackets, you must install the step pads (Item #2) on top of the step plates. Use the Step Pad Location Guide on Sheet #2 to position the pads for your vehicle model. The guide provides specific measurements for Pad A and Pad B locations. Note that some vehicles (Express Van, Savana Van, and some Ford models) use only Pad A with no Pad B. The pad locations are suggestions and may be adjusted at your discretion.
For a Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab, position Pad A at 14-3/4" from one end and Pad B at 54-1/4" from the same end. These are suggested locations and may be adjusted at your discretion.
For a RAM Crew Cab, position Pad A at 10-1/2" from one end and Pad B at 48" from the same end. These are suggested locations and may be adjusted at your discretion.
For a Ford F-150 Super Crew Cab, position Pad A at 18-1/4" from one end and Pad B at 56-1/2" from the same end. These are suggested locations and may be adjusted at your discretion.
No. Some vehicles require only one step pad (Pad A). Chevrolet Express Van, GMC Savana Van, and some Ford models list only Pad A with "N/A" for Pad B, meaning no second pad is installed on those vehicles.
Yes. You must drill five 1/8" holes through the step plate using the step pad as a guide. The holes are then fastened with five #8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws (Item #6) provided in the kit. Repeat this process for each step pad.
Drill five 1/8" holes through the step plate using the step pad as a guide. The holes are fastened with #8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (Item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 LB FT.
Install the end caps (Item #3) as shown in Figure 1, tightening the nuts to 5 LB FT.
Due to the shortness of some boxes, mount the box step pad first, approximately 1/2" from the end cap, and then mount the middle step pad accordingly. Use the Step Pad Location Guide for your vehicle to determine the exact positions.
Yes. You must remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts on the right side of the vehicle. These bolts will not be reused. Install the mounting brackets using the new M12 bolts and hardware provided in the kit. If there is a cast iron dampener on the rear body mount, remove it as well—it will not be reused.
Use an M12 – 110MM bolt (Item #13) and a 2.0" washer (Item #14) to attach the front mounting bracket (Item #1 or #2, depending on MS or GRIP version) to the front body mount. Leave these fasteners finger tight initially; they will be fully tightened in a later step.
Use an M12 – 110MM bolt (Item #13) and a 2.0" washer (Item #14) to attach the center mounting bracket (Item #3 or #4, depending on MS or GRIP version) to the center body mount. Leave these fasteners finger tight initially; they will be fully tightened in a later step.
Use an M12 – 110MM bolt (Item #13) and a 1/2" flat washer (Item #21) to attach the rear mounting bracket (Item #5 or #6, depending on MS or GRIP version) to the rear body mount. Leave these fasteners finger tight initially; they will be fully tightened in a later step.
Attach the rear outboard mounting bracket (Item #7 or #8, depending on MS or GRIP version) to the rear inboard mounting bracket (Item #5 or #6) in the lower mounting holes using three 3/8-16 x 1.0 screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts (Items #20, #16, #17).
Attach the inboard mounting brackets (Item #9 or #10, depending on MS or GRIP version) to the frame using 1/2-13 x 1.00 hex screws, 1/2" washers, and 1/2-13 serrated flange nuts (Items #22, #21, #23). Leave this bracket loose at this time. Note that these mounting brackets are not the same from left to right.
Attach the W2W support bracket (Item #12) to the inboard mounting bracket using two 3/8-16 x 1" hex screws, two 3/8" washers, and two 3/8-16 flange nuts (Items #20, #16, #17). Also attach the support bracket to the frame using a 1/2"-13 x 1" hex screw, a 1/2" washer, and a 1/2"-13 serrated flange nut (Items #22, #21, #23). Leave this bracket loose at this time.
Install the W2W outboard mounting bracket (Item #11) to the inboard W2W bracket using two black 5/16"-18 x 1" hex screws, two black 5/16" washers, and two black 5/16"-18 flange nuts (Items #25, #26, #24). Leave this bracket loose at this time.
After attaching the step plate per the instructions included with your step plate assembly, tighten all bolts and nuts on the rear W2W bracket, tightening the 1/2"-13 flange nuts to 60 LB FT. Then tighten all remaining body mount bolts. Finally, position the load reaction stud assembly so that the rubber cushion is snug against the side of the frame and tighten the 3/8" flange nuts on either side of the bracket to 19 LB FT.
Tighten the end cap nuts to 5 LB FT.
Tighten the 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) on the square head screws to 19 LB FT.
Tighten the 1/2"-13 flange nuts on the rear W2W bracket to 60 LB FT.
Tighten the 3/8" flange nuts on either side of the load reaction stud bracket to 19 LB FT.
On the short threaded end of the load reaction stud, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (Item #17) backwards to the bottom of the thread. Then install a 3/8" flat washer (Item #16) and rubber cushion washer (Item #15) tight against the serrated flange nut. The end of the stud must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16". On the long threaded end of the stud, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (Item #17) backwards to near the bottom of the threads.
The end of the stud must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16".
Use a 4" stud (Item #19) for the front bracket. Use a 3" stud (Item #18) for the rear brackets.
Use a 3" stud (Item #18) for the rear brackets. Use a 4" stud (Item #19) for the front bracket.
Insert the stud from the inboard or frame side through the lowest hole in the bent flange of the bracket that will allow the rubber washer to seat firmly against the side wall of the frame. Install a flange nut (Item #17) on the outboard end of the stud (finger tight only). Later, after all brackets are attached, position the load reaction stud assembly so that the rubber cushion is snug against the side of the frame and tighten the 3/8" flange nuts on either side of the bracket to 19 LB FT.
Leave most fasteners finger tight or loose during initial assembly. Specifically, leave the front and center body mount bolts finger tight (Step 4.1, 4.2), the rear body mount bolts finger tight (Step 4.4), the inboard mounting brackets loose (Step 5.1), the W2W support bracket loose (Step 5.2), and the W2W outboard bracket loose (Step 5.1). Only after the step plate is attached do you tighten all bolts and nuts on the rear W2W bracket to 60 LB FT, tighten all remaining body mount bolts, and tighten the load reaction stud nuts to 19 LB FT.
