LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Ram 1500 and Dodge Ram 1500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Yes. The O-MEGA II step requires a specific bracket package for your vehicle. You must follow the instructions included with your bracket package to mount the brackets to your vehicle before attaching the step itself. The bracket package is vehicle-specific and comes with its own installation instructions.
No. The W2W MEGA/GRIP bracket system includes both MS (MEGA) and GRIP versions of the mounting brackets. The service parts list shows separate part numbers for MEGA and GRIP variants for the front, center, rear outboard, and W2W outboard brackets. You must use the correct variant for your step type.
The O-MEGA II step includes: 2 extrusions (aluminum, silver or black, in various lengths), 6 step pads, 4 end caps, 28 square head screws (5/16-18 x 1"), 28 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 30 TEK screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). The specific extrusion length depends on your model number. All parts are listed in the Service Parts List on page 1.

The manual does not specify required tools. However, based on the installation steps, you will need a drill with a 1/8" bit (to drill holes for step pad attachment), a wrench or socket set to tighten nuts and bolts, and a torque wrench to achieve the specified torque values. Consult your bracket package instructions for any additional tools required for bracket installation.
The manual does not specify required tools. However, based on the installation steps, you will need a socket set and wrench to remove factory body mount bolts and install replacement fasteners, a torque wrench to achieve specified torque values (60 LB FT for rear W2W bracket, 19 LB FT for load reaction studs), and possibly a lift or jack to access frame mounting points. Professional installation may be advisable.
Before starting installation, read the complete instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand. Also obtain and review the separate instructions included with your specific bracket package, as bracket installation must be completed before attaching the step.
Before starting installation, read the complete instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand. Note that you will be removing factory body mount bolts (which will not be reused) and possibly a cast iron dampener from the rear body mount. Ensure you have access to the frame and body mount locations on your 09-16 RAM 1500.
Yes. You must drill 5 holes (1/8" diameter each) through the step plate for each step pad. Use the step pad as a guide to mark hole locations. Drill the holes before attaching the step pad with the provided 8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws.
Yes. You must remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts from the right side of the vehicle (these will not be reused). If a cast iron dampener is present on the rear body mount, it must be removed and will not be reused. These are permanent modifications to the vehicle's body mount structure.
Step pad position depends on your vehicle model. Use the Step Pad Location Guide on page 2 as a reference. The guide provides specific measurements for Pad A (distance from one end) and Pad B (distance from the other end) for each vehicle. However, the manual notes that these locations are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion. For some vehicles with short boxes, mount the box step pad first approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly.
The installation sequence is: 1) Position step pads on step plates using the location guide and drill 5 holes (1/8") for each pad; 2) Attach pads with 8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws; 3) Install square head bolts into designated slots in the bottom of step plates; 4) Install end caps and tighten nuts to 5 LB FT; 5) Position the step on mounting brackets so square head screws are in bracket slots and step is centered front to rear; 6) Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on square head screws and tighten to 19 LB FT.
The assembly sequence is: 1) On the short threaded end of the stud, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards to the bottom of the thread; 2) Install a 3/8" flat washer and rubber cushion washer tight against the nut (the stud end must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16"); 3) On the long threaded end, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards near the bottom of the threads. Use a 4" stud for the front bracket and a 3" stud for the rear brackets.
Insert the stud from the inboard (frame) side through the lowest hole in the bent flange of the bracket that will allow the rubber washer to seat firmly against the frame side wall. Install a 3/8" flange nut on the outboard end of the stud and tighten finger tight only at this stage. Final tightening to 19 LB FT occurs after all brackets are positioned.
Using an M12 – 110MM bolt and a 2.0" washer, install the front mounting bracket to the front body mount location on the right side of the vehicle. Leave the fasteners finger tight at this stage. The front bracket uses a 4" load reaction stud.
Using an M12 – 110MM bolt and a 2.0" washer, install the center mounting bracket to the center body mount location on the right side of the vehicle. Leave the fasteners finger tight at this stage.
First, if a cast iron dampener is present on the rear body mount, remove it (it will not be reused). Using an M12 – 110MM bolt and a 1/2" flat washer, install the rear inboard mounting bracket to the rear body mount location on the right side. Leave finger tight. Then attach the rear outboard mounting bracket to the rear inboard bracket using three 3/8-16 x 1.0 screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts in the lower mounting holes.
Attach the inboard mounting brackets (which are not the same from left to right) to the frame using 1/2-13 x 1.00 hex screws, 1/2" washers, and 1/2-13 serrated flange nuts. Leave these brackets loose at this stage. Note that these brackets are directional and must be installed correctly for each side.
Attach the W2W support bracket to the inboard mounting bracket using two 3/8-16 x 1" hex screws, two 3/8" washers, and two 3/8-16 flange nuts. Also attach the support bracket to the frame using a 1/2"-13 x 1" hex screw, a 1/2" washer, and a 1/2"-13 serrated flange nut. Leave all fasteners loose at this stage.
Install the W2W outboard mounting bracket to the inboard W2W bracket using two black 5/16"-18 x 1" hex screws, two black 5/16" washers, and two black 5/16"-18 flange nuts. Leave all fasteners loose at this stage.
Most fasteners are left finger tight or loose during initial installation. Final tightening occurs after the step plate is attached and all brackets are positioned. Tighten the 1/2"-13 flange nuts on the rear W2W bracket to 60 LB FT, then tighten all remaining body mount bolts. Finally, position the load reaction stud assembly so the rubber cushion is snug against the frame side, and tighten the 3/8" flange nuts on either side of the bracket to 19 LB FT.
The end cap nuts must be tightened to 5 LB FT.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws (Item #4) must be tightened to 19 LB FT.
The 1/2"-13 flange nuts on the rear W2W bracket must be tightened to 60 LB FT.
The 3/8" flange nuts on either side of the load reaction stud bracket must be tightened to 19 LB FT.
Step pads are attached using 5 TEK screws per pad (Item #6: #8-18 x 1/2", stainless steel, bright zinc plated). The screws are installed through 1/8" diameter holes drilled in the step plate, using the step pad as a guide.
The step is attached to the mounting brackets using 5/16" square head screws (Item #4) and 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5). The square head screws are inserted into slots in the bottom of the step plates and engage with slots in the mounting brackets. The nuts are tightened to 19 LB FT.
Body mount brackets are installed using M12 – 110MM hex head screws (Item #13) with 2.0" washers (Item #14) for front and center brackets, and with 1/2" flat washers (Item #21) for rear brackets. The rear outboard bracket is attached to the rear inboard bracket using 3/8-16 x 1.0 screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts.
Frame-mounted inboard brackets use 1/2-13 x 1.00 hex screws, 1/2" washers, and 1/2-13 serrated flange nuts. The W2W support bracket uses 3/8-16 x 1" hex screws and 3/8" washers to the inboard bracket, and a 1/2"-13 x 1" hex screw with 1/2" washer to the frame. The W2W outboard bracket uses black 5/16"-18 x 1" hex screws, black 5/16" washers, and black 5/16"-18 flange nuts.
The rubber cushion washer (Item #15) has an outer diameter of 1.00", inner diameter of 0.354", and thickness of 0.75". When installed, the end of the stud must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16".
Two stud lengths are used: a 4" stud (Item #19, double-ended, 3/8-16) for the front bracket, and a 3" stud (Item #18, 3/8-16) for the rear brackets.
The O-MEGA II fits Silverado/Sierra (all cab styles), Chevrolet Express Van, GMC Savana Van, RAM (Quad/Crew/Mega Cab), and Ford F150 and Super Duty trucks. You must use the correct bracket package for your specific vehicle model.
The W2W MEGA/GRIP bracket is designed specifically for 09-16 RAM 1500 Pickups only. It will not fit other RAM models or years.
Yes. You must drill 5 holes (1/8" diameter) through each step plate to attach the step pads using the provided TEK screws.
Yes. You must remove factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts (which will not be reused). If a cast iron dampener is present on the rear body mount, it must also be removed.
