Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. This package includes the side steps only and requires mounting brackets for a complete installation (sold separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The exact extrusion length depends on your model number (583098, 583102, 583108, 583114, 583125, 584098, 584102, 584114, or 584125). The O-MEGA II is a universal application step. The manual provides specific pad location guidance for Chevrolet Silverado/Sierra (Double, Extended, and Crew Cab), GMC Sierra, Chevrolet Express Van, GMC Savana Van, RAM Quad/Crew/Mega Cab, and Ford F-150 and Super Duty trucks. For vehicles not listed, consult the manufacturer or your installer, as fitment depends on the specific bracket package used with your vehicle.
The manual requires a drill with a 1/8" bit to drill holes for step pad attachment. A wrench or socket set is needed to tighten the 5/16" serrated flange nuts to 19 lb-ft and the end cap nuts to 5 lb-ft. The specific bracket package instructions (provided separately) may require additional tools; consult those instructions before starting.
Yes. The manual states you must follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package to mount the brackets to your vehicle. The O-MEGA II steps attach to these brackets. Ensure you have the correct bracket package for your vehicle before beginning installation.
1. Mount brackets to vehicle using the separate bracket package instructions. 2. Attach step pads to step plates by drilling five 1/8" holes and securing with 8-18×1/2" TEK screws (position pads according to your vehicle model on Sheet 2). 3. Install square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 4. Install end caps and tighten nuts to 5 lb-ft. 5. Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets with square head screws in the bracket slots, centered front to rear. 6. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Yes. You must drill five 1/8" holes in the step plates using the step pad as a guide, then attach the step pads with 8-18×1/2" TEK screws. This drilling is required for each step pad installed.
Tighten the end cap nuts to 5 lb-ft.
Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft. These fasteners secure the O-MEGA step to the mounting brackets.
Position the step pads according to your vehicle model using the table on Sheet 2. Pad A is positioned at a specific distance from one end, and Pad B (if applicable) at another distance. The manual notes that due to the shortness of some boxes, you should mount the box step pad first, approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly. Pad locations are suggestions and may be adjusted at your discretion.
For a Chevrolet Silverado Double Cab, Pad A is positioned 14-3/4" from one end and Pad B is positioned 46-3/4" from the same end. These are suggested locations and may be adjusted at your discretion.
For a Chevrolet Silverado Extended Cab, Pad A is positioned 14-3/4" from one end and Pad B is positioned 41-3/4" from the same end. These are suggested locations and may be adjusted at your discretion.
For a Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab, Pad A is positioned 14-3/4" from one end and Pad B is positioned 54-1/4" from the same end. These are suggested locations and may be adjusted at your discretion.
For a Chevrolet Express Van or GMC Savana Van, Pad A is positioned 7-1/2" from one end. Pad B is not applicable (N/A) for these vehicles. This is a suggested location and may be adjusted at your discretion.
For a RAM Quad Cab, Pad A is positioned 10-1/2" from one end and Pad B is positioned 46" from the same end. These are suggested locations and may be adjusted at your discretion.
For a RAM Crew Cab, Pad A is positioned 10-1/2" from one end and Pad B is positioned 48" from the same end. These are suggested locations and may be adjusted at your discretion.
For a RAM Mega Cab, Pad A is positioned 10-1/2" from one end and Pad B is positioned 52-1/16" from the same end. These are suggested locations and may be adjusted at your discretion.
For a Ford F-150 Super Cab, Pad A is positioned 18-1/4" from one end and Pad B is positioned 46-1/4" from the same end. These are suggested locations and may be adjusted at your discretion.

For a Ford Super Duty Super Cab, Pad A is positioned 6-7/8" from one end and Pad B is positioned 39-1/16" from the same end. These are suggested locations and may be adjusted at your discretion.
For a Ford Super Duty Crew Cab, Pad A is positioned 6-7/8" from one end and Pad B is positioned 52-7/8" from the same end. These are suggested locations and may be adjusted at your discretion.
