Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratche s. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Jeep Grand Cherokee (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.

Use the Step Pad Location Guide on page 2 to find your vehicle model and the correct distances for Pad A and Pad B. These distances are measured positions along the step plate. The manual notes that these locations are suggestions only and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion. Position the pads accordingly before drilling the attachment holes.
Yes. You must drill 5 holes (1/8" diameter) through each step pad into the step plate. Use the step pad as a guide for hole placement. Attach the step pads with 5 8-18×1/2" TEK screws (item #6). Repeat this process for all step pads.
Tighten the end cap nuts (item #3) to 5 lb-ft.
Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws (item #4) and tighten to 19 lb-ft. These fasteners secure the step to the mounting brackets.

Install the required number of square head bolts (item #4) into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. These bolts are then secured with 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) and tightened to 19 lb-ft when the step is mounted on the brackets.

The kit includes 20 stainless steel TEK screws (item #6, part number 107958, #8-18×1/2"). You will use 5 screws per step pad. With 4 step pads, you will use 20 screws total.

The 571134 is a Mega Step/O-Mega Step bracket mounting kit designed specifically for 2011 Dodge Durango and 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It includes 6 mounting brackets, T-bolts, carriage bolts, and fasteners. Installation involves locating and using obround body plugs under the plastic ground effects to secure the brackets.
1. Locate and remove the second, fourth, and sixth obround body plugs from under and behind the plastic ground effects. 2. Install the T-bolt (item #3) up into the obround hole. 3. Place the bracket (item #2) over the T-bolt threads and place the nut (item #7) on finger tight. 4. Put 2 carriage bolts (item #5) in the obround holes in the bracket and pinch weld area, then install nut (item #6). 5. Tighten all fasteners. 6. Repeat for each bracket on both driver and passenger sides.
1. Insert 3 5/16" square head screws (item #8) on the underside of each step in the center slot of the mega boards. The board will already have 5 square head screws in the inside slot; 2 of these you will not use—slide them to the end and place a nut (item #4) on them. (Note: O-Mega steps require three square head screws in both center and inside slots; remove one end cap to insert screws.) 2. Locate the step in and out as desired and install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #4) on the square head screws. 3. Tighten all nuts.
O-Mega steps require three square head screws in both the center slot and inside slot of the board, whereas Mega Steps use three screws in the center slot only. For O-Mega steps, you must remove one end cap to insert the screws in the inside slot.
