Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Dodge Durango (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.

Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Steps package includes: 2 step extrusions (available in silver or black, in 69", 75", or 85" lengths depending on model), 4 aluminum step pads, 4 plastic end caps, 24 square head bolts (5/16-18 x 1"), 24 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 20 tek screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). The specific extrusion length and colour depend on your model number (583072, 583078, 583088 for silver; 584072, 584078, 584088 for black).
The 571134 bracket package is specifically designed for 2011 Dodge Durango and 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee only. If you have a different vehicle, you must use the appropriate bracket package for your vehicle model and follow those specific bracket installation instructions.

1. Read all instructions and verify all parts are present. 2. Install the bracket package according to its specific instructions. 3. Position and attach step pads to the step plates using the vehicle-specific location guide. 4. Install square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 5. Install end caps and tighten nuts to 5 lb ft. 6. Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets with square head screws in the bracket slots and the step centered front to rear. 7. Install and tighten 5/16" serrated flange nuts to 19 lb ft.
Yes. Before attaching the O-MEGA steps to the brackets, you must drill 5 holes at 1/8" diameter through each step pad using the step pad as a guide. These holes are used to attach the step pads to the step plates with #8-18 x 1/2" tek screws (item #6). You must repeat this for all step pads.
The end cap nuts (item #3) must be tightened to 5 lb ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws (item #4) that attach the step to the mounting brackets must be tightened to 19 lb ft.
Use the Step Pad Location Guide on sheet 2 to determine the correct position for your vehicle model. The guide provides measurements for Pad A (distance from the front) and Pad B (distance from the front) for each vehicle. Note that these locations are suggestions only and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion. Once positioned, drill 5 holes at 1/8" diameter using the step pad as a guide, then attach with 5 #8-18 x 1/2" tek screws.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Then install the 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb ft.
The three silver O-MEGA II models differ in step extrusion length: 583072 uses 69.0" extrusions (part #553071), 583078 uses 75.0" extrusions (part #553072), and 583088 uses 85.0" extrusions (part #553073). Black versions are available as models 584072, 584078, and 584088 with corresponding black extrusions. The correct model for your vehicle depends on your vehicle's width.
1. Locate and remove the second, fourth, and sixth obround body plugs from under and behind the plastic ground effects. 2. Install the T-bolt (item #3) up into the obround hole. 3. Place the bracket (item #2) over the T-bolt threads and place the nut (item #7) on finger tight. 4. Put 2 carriage bolts (item #5) in the obround holes in the bracket and pinch weld area, then install nuts (item #6). 5. Tighten all fasteners. 6. Repeat for each bracket on both driver and passenger sides. 7. Attach the steps to the mounting brackets.
1. Insert 3 square head screws (item #8, 5/16") on the underside of each step in the center slot of the mega boards. The board will already have 5 square head screws in the inside slot; 2 of these you will not use—slide them to the end of the board and place a nut (item #4) on them. Note: O-MEGA steps require three square head screws in both the center slot and inside slot; remove one end cap to insert screws. 2. Locate the step in and out as desired. 3. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #4) on the square head screws. 4. Tighten all nuts.
For 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, two options are available: Mega Step Boards 72" (part #575072) or O-MEGA Step Boards 72" (part #585072). Both come as a pair (2 boards per package).
For 2011 Dodge Durango, three options are available: Mega Step Boards 78" (part #575078), O-MEGA Step Boards 78" Satin (part #585078), or O-MEGA Step Boards 78" Black (part #586078). All come as a pair (2 boards per package).
Yes. When installing O-MEGA step boards on 571134 brackets, you must remove one end cap to insert the three square head screws in the center slot. This is not required for Mega Step boards.
The 571134 bracket package includes: 6 mounting brackets (part #551932), 6 T-bolts (part #551935), 16 serrated flange nuts 5/16-18 (part #102680), 12 carriage bolts #10-24 x 0.75" (part #104260), 12 serrated flange nuts #10-24 (part #104261), 6 serrated flange nuts 7/16-14 (part #103737), and 6 square head screws 5/16-18 x 1.00" (part #106880).
O-MEGA II steps are universal application. The correct model (583072/584072 for 69", 583078/584078 for 75", or 583088/584088 for 85") depends on your vehicle width. For 2011 Dodge Durango or Jeep Grand Cherokee, use the 571134 bracket package. For other vehicles, follow your specific bracket package instructions.
