The MEGA STEP Brackets (model 571447) are designed for 2014+ GM 1500 Pickups (gas) and 2015 GM 2500/3500HD Pickups (gas). They mount to the rocker panel using a no-drill application.
Yes. The step pad location varies significantly by vehicle model and cab style. The manual provides a Step Pad Location Guide on Sheet 2 with specific measurements for Pad A and Pad B positions for each vehicle, including Silverado, Sierra, Colorado, Canyon, Avalanche, Suburban, Yukon, Tahoe, RAM, Dodge Dakota, Dodge Durango, Ford F150, Ford Super Duty, Toyota Tundra, and Toyota Tacoma. However, the manual notes that these are suggestions only and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
Yes. The O-MEGA II steps are universal, but you must follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package designed for your vehicle to mount the brackets correctly.
The O-MEGA II steps include: (24) Square Head Bolts 5/16-18 X 1" (part 106880), (24) 5/16-18 Serrated Flange Nuts (part 102680), and (20) #8-18 X 1/2" Tek Screws (part 107958). The step pads (part 552970) and end caps (part 107956) are also provided. Quantities vary by step configuration.

1. Use the Step Pad Location Guide on Sheet 2 to determine the correct position for Pad A and Pad B on your vehicle. 2. Place the step pads (part 552970) on top of the step plates. 3. Drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide. 4. Attach the pads with five #8-18 X 1/2" Tek Screws (part 107958). 5. Repeat for all step pads.
Install the end caps (part 107956) as shown in Figure 1, tightening the nuts to 5 lb-ft.
Position the O-MEGA II step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (part 106880) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (part 102680) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
On the left side of the vehicle, remove the plastic body plugs located on the vertical wall of the rocker panel and insert a 5/16"-18 U-Nut (part 105541). If there are threaded inserts in the upper location, use the black M8-1.25 X 30 MM Bolts (part 100180) instead.
Position the mounting brackets (part 552628 for LH, 552627 for RH) so that the holes on the bracket line up with the holes on the inside wall of the rocker panel. Install a 5/16"-18 X 1.0" hex bolt and 5/16" flat washer (parts 100647, 106998) finger tight. Then install a black M8-1.25 X 30 MM hex bolt, 5/16" flat washer, and pinch weld support (parts 100180, 106998, 551666) through the hole and install an M8-1.25 nut (part 105859) finger tight on the back. Repeat for all remaining brackets.
Loosen the spring hanger bolt just enough so that the inboard spring hanger mounting bracket (part 551806) can be slid up behind the flange of the bolt. Position it behind the flange with the channel open to the outboard side. Using a 3/8"-16 bolt, 3/8" washer, 1/2" washer, and 3/8" lock nut (parts 101326, 100062, 100118, 102381), install the outboard spring hanger mounting bracket (part 552717) so that the inboard vertical portion fits inside the channel of the inboard bracket. Leave these fasteners finger tight at this time.
Press the step down and back, then tighten the mounting bolts to 19 lb-ft, starting with the bottom bolts followed by the top bolts.
Tighten the end cap nuts to 5 lb-ft.
Tighten the 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws to 19 lb-ft.
Tighten the mounting bolts to 19 lb-ft, starting with the bottom bolts followed by the top bolts.
Drill five 1/8" holes per step pad using the step pad as a guide.
The O-MEGA II steps are available in three lengths: 69.0" (part 553071 silver, 553059 black), 75.0" (part 553072 silver, 553060 black), and 85.0" (part 553073 silver, 553061 black). Each model is supplied as a pair (qty 2).
