LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

If your vehicle is not listed, you will need a different bracket package. Always verify your vehicle year, model, and engine type before purchasing.
The O-MEGA II steps are listed as universal application, meaning they can be adapted to many vehicles. However, the correct bracket package specific to your vehicle must be used. The manual includes a step pad location guide for Silverado, Sierra, Colorado, Canyon, Avalanche, Suburban, Yukon, Tahoe, Ram, Dodge Dakota, Dodge Durango, Ford F150, Ford Super Duty, Toyota Tundra, and Toyota Tacoma. For vehicles not listed, consult the bracket package instructions for your specific vehicle.
Yes. The manual provides a Step Pad Location Guide on Sheet 2 with specific measurements for Pad A and Pad B positions based on vehicle model and cab style (Double Cab, Extended Cab, Crew Cab, Super Cab, Super Crew Cab, Quad Cab, Mega Cab, Access Cab, or Crewmax). For example, Silverado/Sierra Double Cab requires Pad A at 14-3/4" and Pad B at 46-3/4", while Crew Cab requires Pad A at 14-3/4" and Pad B at 54-1/4". The manual notes these are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
Each O-MEGA II step kit includes: 2 extrusions (available in silver or black, in three lengths: 69.0", 75.0", or 85.0"), 4 step pads (part 552970), 4 end caps (part 107956), 24 square head screws 5/16-18 X 1" (part 106880), 24 serrated flange nuts 5/16-18 (part 102680), and 20 tek screws #8-18 X 1/2" (part 107958). The specific extrusion length depends on your vehicle model.

The step board assembly is sold separately.
Yes. You must drill five 1/8" holes per step pad using the step pad as a guide. These holes are used to attach the step pads to the step plates with five 8-18 X 1/2" tek screws (part 107958). This drilling is required for all step pads.
No. The MEGA STEP Brackets are a no-drill application. The brackets mount to the rocker panel using existing holes and U-nuts, and to the spring hanger using existing bolts. No drilling of the vehicle is required.
Yes. The manual states: "FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED WITH THE SPECIFIC BRACKET PACKAGE THAT YOU ARE USING, TO MOUNT THE BRACKETS TO YOUR VEHICLE." The bracket package instructions are separate from the step installation instructions and must be followed first.
Read the instructions completely and check that all required parts listed on the Service Parts List are on hand before starting installation. This ensures you have all necessary components and understand the full process.
Read the instructions completely and check that all required parts listed on the Service Parts List are on hand before starting installation. The manual also notes that depending on the vehicle, the hole configuration may change, but fasteners are provided for all applications.
Before attaching the O-MEGA steps to the brackets, place the step pads (part 552970) on top of the step plates. Use the Step Pad Location Guide on Sheet 2 to position the pads for your particular vehicle. The guide provides specific measurements for Pad A and Pad B based on your vehicle model and cab style.
Using the step pad as a guide, drill five 1/8" holes through the step pad into the step plate. Attach the pad with five 8-18 X 1/2" tek screws (part 107958). Repeat this process for all step pads.
Install the end caps (part 107956) as shown in Figure 1, tightening the nuts to 5 lb-ft. The end caps are mounted on the ends of the step extrusions.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (part 106880) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (part 102680) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Install the required number of square head bolts (part 106880) into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. The exact number depends on your step model and bracket configuration.
1. Remove plastic body plugs from the vertical wall of the rocker panel on the left side and insert a 5/16"-18 U-nut (part 105541). If threaded inserts are present in the upper location, use M8-1.25 X 30mm bolts (part 100180) instead. 2. Position mounting brackets (part 552628 for left, 552627 for right) so holes line up with rocker panel holes. Install a 5/16"-18 X 1.0" hex bolt and 5/16" flat washer (parts 100647, 106998) finger tight. 3. Install an M8-1.25 X 30mm hex bolt, 5/16" flat washer, and pinch weld support (parts 100180, 106998, 551666) through the hole and install an M8-1.25 nut (part 105859) finger tight on the back. 4. Repeat for remaining brackets. 5. Repeat all steps for the right side.
1. Loosen the spring hanger bolt just enough to slide the inboard spring hanger mounting bracket (part 551806) up behind the flange of the bolt. Position it with the channel open to the outboard side. 2. Using a 3/8"-16 bolt, 3/8" washer, 1/2" washer, and 3/8" lock nut (parts 101326, 100062, 100118, 102381), install the outboard spring hanger mounting bracket (part 552717) so the inboard vertical portion fits inside the channel of the inboard bracket. Leave these fasteners finger tight. 3. After the step board is installed and positioned, tighten all mounting bolts to 19 lb-ft, starting with the bottom bolts followed by the top bolts.
Leave all fasteners finger tight during the initial assembly of the rocker panel and spring hanger brackets. Only after the step board is installed and positioned should you press the step down and back, then tighten the mounting bolts to 19 lb-ft, starting with the bottom bolts followed by the top bolts.
Tighten the end cap nuts to 5 lb-ft.
Tighten the 5/16" serrated flange nuts (part 102680) on the square head screws (part 106880) to 19 lb-ft.
Tighten all mounting bolts to 19 lb-ft. Start with the bottom bolts followed by the top bolts. This is done after the step board is installed and positioned.
Five 1/8" holes are drilled per step pad using the step pad as a guide.
Five 8-18 X 1/2" tek screws (part 107958) are used per step pad. These are stainless steel, bronze plated.
Square head screws 5/16-18 X 1" (part 106880, MagniGuard) are inserted into the slots in the bottom of the step plates. These are secured with 5/16" serrated flange nuts (part 102680, stainless steel) tightened to 19 lb-ft.
Two types of fasteners are used depending on the vehicle configuration: (1) 5/16"-18 X 1.0" hex bolts (part 100647) with 5/16" flat washers (part 106998) for the lower rocker panel holes, and (2) M8-1.25 X 30mm hex bolts (part 100180) with 5/16" flat washers and pinch weld support brackets (part 551666) for the upper holes. M8-1.25 serrated flange nuts (part 105859) secure the upper bolts. If threaded inserts are present in the upper location, use the M8-1.25 X 30mm bolts instead of U-nuts.
The spring hanger mounting uses a 3/8"-16 X 2" hex bolt (part 101326), two 3/8" flat washers (part 100062), one 1/2" flat washer (part 100118), and one 3/8"-16 self-locking nut (part 102381) per bracket. These are left finger tight during assembly and tightened to 19 lb-ft after the step board is installed and positioned.
