LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The steps are available in silver or black aluminum extrusions in three lengths (69.0", 75.0", and 85.0"). Installation requires a vehicle-specific bracket package (sold separately) and the steps must be positioned according to your vehicle model using the step pad location guide provided in the manual.
The W2W Mega Step Brackets (model 570717) are designed for 2007 and newer GM crew cab pickups and extended cabs, including Silverado, Sierra, Avalanche, Suburban, Yukon XL, Tahoe, and Yukon. The system uses mounting brackets that attach to the vehicle's rocker panel and spring hanger, and requires a separate mega step board assembly (sold separately) to complete the installation.
Yes. The manual states you must follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package for your vehicle to mount the brackets. The O-MEGA II steps themselves are universal, but the bracket package is vehicle-specific and must be obtained separately.

The manual notes these are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
The O-MEGA II steps include: 2 aluminum extrusions (available in 69.0", 75.0", or 85.0" lengths in silver or black), 4 step pads, 4 end caps, 24 square head bolts (5/16"-18 x 1"), 24 serrated flange nuts (5/16"-18), and 20 tek screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). Additional fasteners are required from your vehicle-specific bracket package.

Using the step pad as a guide, drill 5 holes of 1/8" diameter through the step pad into the step plate. 3. Attach the step pad with 5 tek screws (item #6, #8-18 x 1/2") provided. 4. Repeat for all step pads.
Install the end caps (item #3) as shown in figure 1, tightening the nuts to 5 lb ft.
1. Insert the required number of square head bolts (item #4) into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 2. Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. 3. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb ft.
1. Attach the top of the mounting brackets (item #5) to the vehicle with an M8 bolt (item #2) and washer (item #4). Note: the third bracket back will need to use a U-nut (item #7) and 5/16" bolt (item #6) and washer (item #4) to mount. Distance between the 1st and 2nd bracket will be 24 inches. 2. Insert a nylon washer (item #8) between the top of the mounting bracket and the bottom of the rocker panel and install the screw (item #2), washer (item #4), nut, and pinch weld support bracket (items #5 and #14).
