Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.

LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.

The O-MEGA II package includes: 2 step extrusions (available in 69.0", 75.0", or 85.0" lengths, in silver or black aluminum), 4 step pads, 4 end caps, 24 square head screws (5/16-18 x 1"), 24 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 20 TEK screws (#8-18 x 1/2") for pad attachment. The bracket package is sold separately and must be installed per its own instructions.

Yes. The bracket package must be installed first according to the instructions included with the specific bracket package you are using. The O-MEGA II steps are then mounted to these brackets.
Before attaching the step pads to the step plates, use the Step Pad Location Guide on Sheet 2 to determine the correct position for your vehicle model. The guide provides measurements for Pad A and Pad B locations. Note that these are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
Yes. When installing the step pads on the steps, you must drill 5 holes using the step pad as a guide. Each hole is 1/8" diameter. The pads are then attached with five 8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws (Item #6).
The manual does not specify required tools. However, based on the installation process, you will need: a drill with a 1/8" bit (for step pad holes), a wrench or socket set (for 5/16" bolts and nuts), and a torque wrench (to tighten bolts to 19 LB-FT and nuts to 5 LB-FT). Consult the bracket package instructions for additional tools needed for bracket installation.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) on the square head screws (Item #4) must be tightened to 19 LB-FT. The end cap nuts must be tightened to 5 LB-FT.
Install the end caps (Item #3) as shown in Figure 1, tightening the nuts to 5 LB-FT. The manual references Figure 1 for the correct installation method.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (Item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 LB-FT.
Read the instructions completely and verify that all required parts listed on the Service Parts List are on hand before starting installation. The parts include mounting brackets, hex bolts, lock washers, flat washers, and U-nuts.
On the left side of the vehicle, remove the plastic body plugs located on the bottom and vertical wall of the rocker panel. Insert a 5/16"-18 U-nut (Item #6) in the first, second, and fourth set of holes back from the front wheel opening. Position the mounting brackets (Items #1 and #2) so the holes line up with the holes on the inside wall of the rocker panel. Install the 5/16"-18 x 1.00" hex bolts (Item #3), 5/16" lock washers (Item #4), and 5/16" flat washers (Item #5) finger tight. Repeat for the right side of the vehicle.
Tighten the mounting bolts to 19 LB-FT, starting with the bottom bolts followed by the top bolts.
