Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Ford F150, F250 Super Duty, F350 Super Duty, F450 Super Duty and F550 Super Duty (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.

Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Steps are universal side steps available in models 583072, 583078, 583088, 584072, 584078, and 584088. Each kit includes two step extrusions (available in silver or black aluminum), step pads, end caps, square head bolts, serrated flange nuts, and TEK screws for pad attachment. The exact extrusion length varies by model: 69.0", 75.0", or 85.0". Installation requires a separate bracket package specific to your vehicle.
Model 571521 brackets are designed specifically for 2015 and newer Ford F150 Regular Cab and Extended Cab pickups using rocker panel mount installation. They are not compatible with other vehicle makes or models. If you have a different vehicle, you will need a different bracket package designed for your specific truck or SUV.
The O-MEGA II steps are described as universal application, but they require a vehicle-specific bracket package to mount. The manual provides a step pad location guide for Silverado/Sierra, Colorado/Canyon, Avalanche, Suburban, Yukon, Tahoe, RAM, Dodge Dakota, Dodge Durango, Ford F150, Ford Super Duty, Toyota Tundra, and Toyota Tacoma models. You must use the bracket package designed for your specific vehicle and cab style.
The manual does not specify which tools are required for installation. You will need to drill five 1/8" holes per step pad, so a drill with a 1/8" bit is necessary. The manual references a separate bracket package with its own instructions, which may specify additional tools. Contact the manufacturer or your installer for a complete tool list.
Yes. Step 2 of the O-MEGA II instructions states: "Follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package that you are using, to mount the brackets to your vehicle." The bracket package must be installed first, and you must follow its included instructions. Only after the brackets are mounted should you attach the step pads and then the step extrusions to the brackets.
The step pad location guide on Sheet 2 provides recommended distances (in inches) for positioning Pad A and Pad B on your specific vehicle model and cab style. These measurements help you place the step pads correctly before drilling and attaching them to the step plates. The note states these are suggestions only and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion, but following them ensures proper step positioning for your vehicle.
Yes, drilling is required for the step pads. Before attaching the step pads to the step plates, you must drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide. These holes are then used to attach the pads with five 8-18×1/2" TEK screws. Drilling is required for each step pad. The 571521 bracket package for Ford F150 is a no-drill application for bracket installation, but step pad attachment still requires drilling.
The end caps (Item #3) must be tightened to 5 LB FT (5 foot-pounds).
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) that secure the square head screws (Item #4) to the mounting brackets must be tightened to 19 LB FT (19 foot-pounds).
1. Position the step pads (Item #2) on top of the step plates using the vehicle-specific location guide on Sheet 2 as reference. 2. Using the step pad as a guide, drill five 1/8" holes through the step pad into the step plate. 3. Attach the pads with five 8-18×1/2" TEK screws (Item #6) provided. 4. Repeat this process for all step pads.
1. Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (Item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets. 2. Ensure the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. 3. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) on the square head screws. 4. Tighten the nuts to 19 LB FT.

Position and attach step pads to the step plates using the location guide and drilling five 1/8" holes per pad, then securing with TEK screws. 3. The 571521 is a no-drill rocker panel mount application. 1. On the left side, install two 1.5" isolator washers (Item #3), the step mounting bracket (Item #2), and two M8-1.25 flange nuts (Item #4) on the factory-provided studs on the inside of the rocker panel. If installing stainless steel side entry steps, leave the flange nuts finger-tight only to assist alignment. 2. Repeat for remaining brackets. 3. Check that all brackets are level. 4. Tighten all flange nuts. 5. Repeat steps 1-4 for the right side of the vehicle.
Leaving the flange nuts finger-tight only during initial installation assists with alignment of the step plate. Once all brackets are checked to be level, the flange nuts should then be fully tightened.
The O-MEGA II kit includes: (1) Square head bolts (Item #4, part #106880, qty 24) – installed into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. (2) 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5, part #102680, qty 24) – installed on the square head screws to secure the step to the mounting brackets, tightened to 19 LB FT. (3) 8-18×1/2" TEK screws (Item #6, part #107958, qty 20) – used to attach the step pads to the step plates after drilling five 1/8" holes per pad. (4) End caps (Item #3, part #107956, qty 4) – installed on the step and tightened to 5 LB FT.
The 571521 bracket kit includes: (1) Step mounting brackets (Item #2, part #552643, qty 4). (2) 1.5" nylon isolator washers (Item #3, part #108442, qty 8). (3) M8-1.25 flange nuts (Item #4, part #105859, qty 8). These are installed on the factory-provided studs on the inside of the rocker panel.
Yes. The manual states: "Please refer to the instruction sheet included with your step board assembly to mount the step to the brackets." The step board (MEGA STEP, O-MEGA STEP, or SES) has its own assembly instructions that must be followed after the 571521 brackets are installed and leveled.
After installing all brackets on both sides of the vehicle, check that all brackets are level before tightening the flange nuts. This is a critical step to ensure proper alignment and function of the step assembly.
Model 571521 brackets fit 2015+ Ford F150 Regular Cab and Extended Cab pickups only. For other vehicles, you need a different bracket package.
