Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Ford F250 Super Duty, F350 Super Duty, F450 Super Duty and F550 Super Duty (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II package includes: 2 step extrusions (available in 69.0", 75.0", or 85.0" lengths in silver or black), 4 step pads, 4 end caps, 24 square head screws, 24 serrated flange nuts, and 20 tek screws for pad attachment. The specific extrusion length depends on your vehicle model. Bracket packages are sold separately and vary by vehicle.
The O-MEGA II steps are a universal application product. However, the step pad locations must be positioned according to your specific vehicle model using the positioning guide provided. Supported vehicles include Silverado/Sierra (double, extended, and crew cab), Colorado/Canyon, Avalanche, Suburban, Yukon, Tahoe, RAM (quad, crew, and mega cab), Dodge Dakota and Durango, Ford F150 and Super Duty, and Toyota Tundra and Tacoma models. Consult the step pad location guide on sheet 2 for your exact vehicle.
The Mega Steps Brackets are designed specifically for 1999 and newer Ford Super Duty Super Cab and Crew Cab pickups. These brackets use the existing mounting hole patterns on the pinch weld and interior wall of the rocker panel.
The manual specifies that you will need a drill with a 1/8" bit to drill holes for the step pad attachment. A torque wrench is required to tighten fasteners to the specified torque values (5 lb ft for end cap nuts, 19 lb ft for serrated flange nuts on square head screws). The manual does not specify other hand tools required, so consult the bracket package instructions for additional tool requirements.
Yes. The manual states you must follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package you are using to mount the brackets to your vehicle before attaching the O-MEGA steps to the brackets. The bracket package instructions are not included in this manual and vary by vehicle.
Before attaching the O-MEGA steps to the brackets, place the step pads on top of the step plates. Use the step pad location guide on sheet 2 to determine the correct position for your vehicle model. The guide provides two pad positions (Pad A and Pad B) with specific measurements from the front of the step for each vehicle. Note that these are suggestions and pads may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
Yes. When installing the pads on the steps, you must drill 5 holes using the step pad as a guide. Each hole is 1/8" in diameter. The pads are then attached with 5 tek screws (8-18 x 1/2") provided in the kit. This process must be repeated for all step pads.
1. Install step pads on step plates using 1/8" drilled holes and tek screws. 2. Install square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 3. Install end caps and tighten nuts to 5 lb ft. 4. Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so square head screws are in the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear. 5. Install serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb ft.
The end cap nuts must be tightened to 5 lb ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws must be tightened to 19 lb ft.
1. Install 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts in the existing rocker panel holes: in the top rear hole of the first, second, and third patterns, and in the front top hole of the fifth (rear) pattern. Insert the threaded half through the large access holes and slide toward the round hole until seated. 2. Position the front mounting bracket (item 2) so the top hole aligns with the U-nut and the bottom hole aligns with the pinch weld hole. 3. Attach the top with a 5/16" x 1.00" zinc-plated hex head cap screw and flat washer. 4. Attach the bottom to the pinch weld with a 5/16" x 1.00" black-plated hex head cap screw, black-plated flat washer, and serrated flange nut. 5. Level the brackets and tighten all fasteners to 19 lb ft. 6. Repeat for rear mounting brackets (item 3).
1. Insert four 5/16" square head screws in the center slot on the underside of the step. 2. Position the step on the mounting brackets so the square head screws are located in the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear on the cab. 3. Locate the step in and out as desired. 4. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb ft. 5. Install 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts on any unused square head screws in the inboard slot of the step and tighten to 19 lb ft.
All fasteners on the Mega Steps Brackets must be tightened to 19 lb ft. This includes the hex head cap screws attaching the brackets to the vehicle and the serrated flange nuts on the square head screws attaching the step board to the brackets.
The front mounting bracket (item 2) has a 3/16" offset at the top of the bracket. This offset is designed to accommodate the geometry of the Ford Super Duty rocker panel and must be accounted for when positioning the bracket so the top hole aligns with the U-nut.
Install 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts by inserting the threaded half through the large access holes in the rocker panel and sliding the U-nut toward the round hole until it seats. The threads must face the inside of the rocker panel. U-nuts are installed in the top rear hole of the first, second, and third mounting patterns and in the front top hole of the fifth (rear) pattern.
Yes. After positioning the step on the mounting brackets so the square head screws are in the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear, you can locate the step in and out as desired before tightening the serrated flange nuts to 19 lb ft.
Any unused square head screws in the inboard slot of the step must have 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts installed and tightened to 19 lb ft.
The O-MEGA II is a universal application product that fits many truck models including Silverado, Sierra, Colorado, Canyon, RAM, Ford F150, Ford Super Duty, Toyota Tundra, and others. Consult the step pad location guide in the manual for your specific vehicle model and cab style to confirm fitment and correct pad positioning.
The Mega Steps Brackets (model 579922) fit only 1999 and newer Ford Super Duty Super Cab and Crew Cab pickups. They do not fit F150 or other Ford models.
The kit includes 24 square head screws (5/16-18 x 1"), 24 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 20 tek screws (8-18 x 1/2") for step pad attachment. Additional fasteners are required from the bracket package.
Yes. You must drill five 1/8" holes in each step plate using the step pad as a guide, then attach the pads with tek screws.
End cap nuts: 5 lb ft. Serrated flange nuts on square head screws: 19 lb ft.
All fasteners must be tightened to 19 lb ft, including hex head cap screws attaching brackets to the vehicle and serrated flange nuts on square head screws attaching the step board.
Yes. You must follow the instructions included with your specific bracket package before attaching the steps. Bracket packages vary by vehicle and are sold separately.
Use the step pad location guide in the manual for your vehicle model. The guide provides two pad positions (Pad A and Pad B) with specific measurements. Pads may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
