Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The s tep pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Ford F250 Super Duty, F350 Super Duty, F450 Super Duty and F550 Super Duty (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The step board assembly is sold separately.
The manual requires a drill with a 1/8" drill bit to attach the step pads to the step plates. A wrench or socket set is needed to tighten the fasteners to the specified torque values (5 lb ft for end caps, 19 lb ft for serrated flange nuts on square head screws). The manual does not specify additional tools required for bracket installation; refer to the vehicle-specific bracket package instructions.
You will need a wrench or socket set to install and tighten the fasteners. The manual specifies tightening all fasteners to 19 lb ft. No drilling is required for bracket installation, as the mounting holes already exist on the vehicle's pinch weld and rocker panel.
Yes. You must drill five 1/8" holes through the step plate using the step pad as a guide. These holes are used to attach the step pads to the step plates with tek screws. The bracket mounting holes are pre-existing on your vehicle and do not require drilling.
No. The Mega Steps Brackets use existing mounting hole patterns on the pinch weld and interior wall of the rocker panel. No drilling is required.
Use the Step Pad Location Guide on sheet 2 to position the pads for your specific vehicle model and cab style. The guide provides measurements for Pad A (front) and Pad B (rear) for each vehicle. The manual notes that these are suggestions and pads may be placed at the purchaser's discretion. Position the pads before drilling the attachment holes.
1. Install step pads on step plates: position pads using the vehicle-specific guide, drill five 1/8" holes using the pad as a guide, and attach with five 8-18 x 1/2" tek screws. 2. Install square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 3. Install end caps as shown in figure 1, tightening nuts to 5 lb ft. 4. Position the step on mounting brackets so square head screws are in the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear. 5. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb ft.
1. Install 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts in the existing rocker panel holes: insert the threaded half through the large access holes and slide toward the round hole until seated. Install in the top rear hole of the first, second, and third patterns, and the front top hole of the fifth (rear) pattern. 2. Position the front mounting bracket (item 2) and rear mounting brackets (item 3) so the top hole aligns with the U-nut and the bottom hole aligns with the pinch weld hole. 3. Attach the top with a 5/16" x 1.00" zinc-plated hex head cap screw and flat washer. Attach the bottom to the pinch weld with a 5/16" x 1.00" black-plated hex head cap screw, flat washer, and serrated flange nut. Level the brackets and tighten all fasteners to 19 lb ft. 4. Insert four 5/16" square head screws in the center slot on the underside of the step. 5. Position the step on the brackets so the square head screws are in the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear. 6. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb ft. 7. Install serrated flange nuts on any unused square head screws in the inboard slot and tighten to 19 lb ft.
Install 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts (item 6) in the existing rocker panel holes by inserting the threaded half through the large access holes and sliding the U-nut toward the round hole until it seats. The threads must be positioned to the inside of the rocker panel. Install U-nuts in the top rear hole of the first, second, and third mounting patterns, and in the front top hole of the fifth (rear) pattern.
Position the step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Once centered, install the 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb ft.
