LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Ram 1500 and Dodge Ram 1500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Before starting installation, read the complete instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand. You will also need to follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package for your vehicle, as the manual covers step attachment but refers to separate bracket-specific instructions for mounting brackets to your vehicle.
Before starting installation, read the complete instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand. Determine whether your RAM 1500 truck has threaded inserts in the rocker panel, as the installation procedure differs: trucks with threaded inserts follow steps 2.1-2.4, while trucks without threaded inserts follow steps 2.5-2.10. Note that 2009-2012 RAM trucks do not have obround holes in the pinch weld and will require drilling.
Yes. When installing step pads on the steps, you must drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide. The step pads are then attached with five 8-18 X 1/2" TEK screws (item #6). This drilling must be repeated for all step pads.
Yes. 2009-2012 RAM 1500 trucks do not have obround holes in the pinch weld and will require drilling two 5/16" holes for each bracket. To locate the holes, follow step 2.5 (installing the T-bolt weldment), then skip to steps 2.7 and 2.8 with the bracket in place, and mark the pinch weld for drilling. RAM trucks from 2013-2016 with threaded inserts do not require this drilling.
The end caps (item #3) must be tightened to 5 lb-ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws (item #4) must be tightened to 19 lb-ft.
1. Position the step pad (item #2) on top of the step plate using the Step Pad Location Guide on page 2 for your vehicle. 2. Drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide. 3. Attach the step pad with five 8-18 X 1/2" TEK screws (item #6). 4. Repeat for all step pads.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
1. Place the driver's side front bracket (item #1) against the pinch weld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. 2. Align the two rectangular holes of the lower mounting flange with the two obround holes in the pinch weld. 3. Insert two 1/4-20 X 1" carriage bolts (item #18) through the lower mounting flange and pinch weld. 4. Add a 1/4" flat washer (item #19) and 1/4-20 flange nut (item #20) to each bolt; leave finger-tight. 5. Insert an M8 X 25mm screw (item #21) with a 5/16" flat washer (item #22) through the slots on the upper mounting flange; leave finger-tight. 6. Repeat steps 1-5 for the middle (item #2) and rear (item #3) brackets. 7. For the passenger side, use item #2 for the front bracket, item #1 for the middle bracket, and item #4 for the rear bracket.
1. Insert the T-bolt weldment (item #24) into the large obround hole on the vertical wall of the rocker panel, nut end first, leaving the threaded stud sticking out. 2. Attach the plastic bolt retainer (item #25) to the threaded stud to prevent the T-bolt from falling into the rocker panel. 3. Place the driver's side front bracket (item #1) against the pinch weld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. 4. Align the two rectangular holes of the lower mounting flange with the two obround holes in the pinch weld. 5. Insert two 1/4-20 X 1" carriage bolts (item #18) through the lower mounting flange and pinch weld. 6. Add a 1/4" flat washer (item #19) and 1/4-20 flange nut (item #20) to each bolt; leave finger-tight. 7. Place a flat washer (item #22) and M8 flange nut (item #23) on the threaded stud of the T-bolt; leave finger-tight. 8. Rotate the T-bolt so the threaded nut is visible through the slotted hole in the upper mounting flange. 9. Insert an M8 X 25mm screw (item #21) with a 5/16" flat washer (item #22); leave finger-tight. 10. Repeat steps 1-9 for the middle (item #2) and rear (item #3) brackets. 11. For the passenger side, use item #2 for the front bracket, item #1 for the middle bracket, and item #4 for the rear bracket.
Attach the inboard mounting brackets (item #6 for right side, item #7 for left side) to the frame using 1/2-13 X 1.00" hex screws (item #11), 1/2" washers (item #10), and 1/2-13 serrated flange nuts (item #12). Note that these mounting brackets are not the same from left to right. Leave the bracket loose at this time; final tightening occurs after step plates are installed and adjusted.
Attach the W2W support bracket (item #8) to the inboard mounting bracket using two 3/8-16 X 1" hex screws (item #9), two 3/8" washers (item #16), and two 3/8-16 serrated flange nuts (item #17). Also attach the support bracket to the frame using a 1/2-13 X 1" hex screw (item #11), a 1/2" washer (item #10), and a 1/2-13 serrated flange nut (item #12). Leave this bracket loose at this time; final tightening occurs after step plates are installed and adjusted.
Install the W2W outboard mounting bracket (item #5) to the inboard W2W bracket using two black 5/16-18 X 1" hex screws (item #14), two black 5/16" washers (item #15), and two black 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts (item #13). Leave this bracket loose at this time; final tightening occurs after step plates are installed and adjusted.
All fasteners on the W2W MEGA STEP brackets must be left finger-tight during initial installation. Final tightening of all fasteners occurs after the step plates are installed and the brackets and boards are adjusted. The manual does not provide specific torque values for these fasteners.
Install the required number of square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. The manual does not specify the exact number or torque value for these bolts; refer to your specific bracket package instructions for details.
