Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. This package includes the side steps only and requires mounting brackets for a complete installation (sold separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Yes. The manual states: 'FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED WITH THE SPECIFIC BRACKET PACKAGE THAT YOU ARE USING, TO MOUNT THE BRACKETS TO YOUR VEHICLE.' A bracket package specific to your vehicle is required and must be installed before attaching the steps. The bracket package instructions are not included in this manual.
1. Install step pads on the step plates using five 1/8" holes and 8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws, positioning them according to your vehicle model. 2. Install square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 3. Install end caps and tighten the nuts to 5 lb-ft. 4. Position the assembled step on the mounting brackets so the square head screws sit in the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear. 5. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Yes. Five 1/8" holes must be drilled in each step plate to attach the step pads. Use the step pad as a guide to mark hole locations. The holes are drilled before the step pads are attached with 8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws. No other drilling is mentioned in the manual.
The end cap nuts must be tightened to 5 lb-ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts that secure the square head screws to the mounting brackets must be tightened to 19 lb-ft.
Five 1/8" holes are drilled in each step plate to attach the step pads. Use the step pad as a guide to mark the hole locations.
Five 8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws (stainless steel, bright zinc plated) are used per step pad. These are provided in the kit (20 total for both steps).
Square head bolts (5/16-18 x 1", 24 total) are inserted into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. These bolts then sit in the slots of the mounting brackets. 5/16" serrated flange nuts (stainless steel, 24 total) are installed on the square head bolts and tightened to 19 lb-ft.
Step pad position varies by vehicle model and cab style. The manual provides specific measurements for Pad A and Pad B locations for each vehicle. For example, Silverado/Sierra Double Cab uses Pad A at 14-3/4" and Pad B at 46-3/4". Consult the Step Pad Location Guide on page 2 for your specific vehicle. The note states these are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
The step should be positioned so that the square head screws are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. This positioning is done before the serrated flange nuts are installed and tightened to 19 lb-ft.
The square head bolts are inserted into designated slots in the bottom of the step plates and then sit in the slots of the mounting brackets. They serve as the primary connection point between the step and the brackets. Serrated flange nuts are installed on these bolts and tightened to 19 lb-ft to secure the step to the brackets.
