LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Ford F250 Super Duty and F350 Super Duty (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Read the complete installation instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand before starting. You will also need to follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package for your vehicle to mount the brackets before attaching the steps.
Read the complete installation instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand before starting. Note that the W2W installation uses existing mounting hole patterns located on the pinch weld and interior wall of the rocker panel, which must be used per the provided instructions.
Yes. When installing the step pads on the steps, you must drill five (5) 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide. The pads are then attached with five (5) 8-18 x 1/2" tek screws (item #6) provided in the kit. This drilling must be repeated for all step pads.
Before attaching the O-MEGA II steps to the brackets, place the step pads (item #2) on top of the step plates. Use the Step Pad Location Guide table on sheet 2 to position the pads for your particular vehicle model and cab style. Pad A and Pad B locations are provided for each vehicle. Note that these locations are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
Install the end caps (item #3) as shown in figure 1, tightening the nuts to 5 lb ft.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws (item #4) and tighten to 19 lb ft.
Starting at the front, install 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts (item #6) in the top rear hole of the first, second, and third mounting patterns and in the front top hole of the fifth (rear) pattern. Install these U-nuts so that the threads are to the inside of the rocker panel. This is done by inserting the threaded half of the U-nut through the large access holes and sliding the U-nut towards the round hole until it seats in the round hole.
Position the brackets on the vehicle so that the top hole lines up with the multi-thread U-nut and the bottom hole lines up with the hole in the pinch weld. Attach the top of the bracket with a 5/16" x 1.00" zinc-plated hex head cap screw (item #7) and 5/16" zinc-plated flat washer (item #8). Attach the bottom of the bracket to the pinch weld with a 5/16" x 1.00" black-plated hex head cap screw (item #9), 5/16" black-plated flat washer (item #10), and 5/16" serrated flange nut (item #5). Level the brackets and tighten all fasteners to 19 lb ft. Note: the front mounting bracket (item #2) has a 3/16" offset at the top.
Insert five (5) 5/16" square head screws (item #4) in the center slot on the underside of the step. The front four (4) sets of fasteners attach the step to the cab mounting brackets, and the extra screw is used to attach to the rear mounting bracket. Position the step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the rear of the step is about even with the front metallic flange of the rear wheel well. Locate the step in and out as desired, install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws, and tighten to 19 lb ft.
Attach the rear mounting bracket (item #11) against the top of the vehicle spring hanger so that the flat surfaces meet. Install 7/16-14 x 1-1/2" hex head cap screws (item #13) down through the top of the bracket (item #12) and the bracket. Attach a 7/16-14 serrated flange nut and washer (items #14 and #15). Install the bottom mounting bracket (item #12) so that the vertical surfaces meet. Install 5/16-18 x 1.00" hex head cap, washer, and serrated flange nut (items #7, #8, #5). Install the mega step on top of the lower bracket, align with the front step, and tighten down with 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts.
The end cap nuts should be tightened to 5 lb ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws (item #4) that attach the step to the mounting brackets should be tightened to 19 lb ft.
All 5/16" fasteners (5/16-18 serrated flange nuts) on the W2W Mega Steps should be tightened to 19 lb ft.
All 7/16" fasteners (7/16-14 serrated flange nuts) on the W2W Mega Steps should be tightened to 40 lb ft.
Five (5) 1/8" holes are drilled using the step pad as a guide when installing the step pads on the steps.
The step pads are attached with five (5) 8-18 x 1/2" tek screws (item #6) provided in the kit. These are stainless steel, bronze-plated screws.
The O-MEGA II steps are attached to the mounting brackets using 5/16" square head screws (item #4) and 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5). There are 24 of each fastener included in the kit.
No. The W2W Mega Steps brackets (model 570829) are designed only for 2008 and newer Ford Super Duty Super Cab and Crew Cab pickups. Earlier model years and other cab styles are not compatible.
The O-MEGA II steps are universal application, but step pad positioning varies by vehicle model and cab style. A positioning guide is provided for common trucks, and pad locations may be adjusted at your discretion.
The manual does not specify whether the bracket package is included. You must follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package for your vehicle to mount the brackets before attaching the steps.
Yes. Five (5) 1/8" holes must be drilled in each step using the step pad as a guide, then secured with tek screws. No other drilling is mentioned for the step installation to the brackets.
O-MEGA II: end cap nuts to 5 lb ft, step mounting bolts to 19 lb ft. W2W Mega Steps: 5/16" fasteners to 19 lb ft, 7/16" fasteners to 40 lb ft.
Yes. After positioning the cab mounting brackets so the holes align with the U-nuts and pinch weld holes, level the brackets before tightening all fasteners to 19 lb ft.
Position the step on the mounting brackets so that the rear of the step is about even with the front metallic flange of the rear wheel well. The step can be located in and out as desired within this constraint.
The manual instructs to install the mega step on top of the lower bracket and align it with the front step before tightening down with 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts. If alignment is not achieved, verify that the rear mounting bracket is properly positioned against the spring hanger with flat surfaces meeting, and that all fasteners are tightened to the correct torque values (19 lb ft for 5/16" fasteners, 40 lb ft for 7/16" fasteners).
The manual states the rear of the step should be about even with the front metallic flange of the rear wheel well. The step can be located in and out as desired. If alignment is not correct, verify that the square head screws are properly seated in the slots of the mounting brackets and that the step is positioned correctly before tightening the serrated flange nuts to 19 lb ft.
