Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Toyota Tacoma (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.

The MEGA Steps bracket kit (model 570553) fits 2005 and newer Toyota Tacoma Access and Double Cab pickups, and 2007 and newer Toyota FJ Cruiser models. If your vehicle is older than these model years or is a different Toyota model, this bracket kit will not fit. Yes. The MEGA Steps bracket installation for Toyota Tacoma and FJ Cruiser reuses the existing factory mounting fasteners. These are M8-1.25 factory nuts with slotted plastic plugs located on the inclined interior surfaces of the rocker panel. The brackets are attached to these factory nuts using M8-1.25 x 25mm hex head cap screws and washers provided in the kit. You do not need to remove or replace the factory fasteners; they serve as the anchor points for the new brackets.
Yes. Before attaching the O-MEGA II step pads to the step plates, you must drill 5 holes using the step pad as a guide. Drill five 1/8" holes through the step pad and into the step plate. The step pads are then attached using five 8-18 x 1/2" tek screws (item #6) provided in the kit. This drilling must be done for each step pad, and the step pad position varies by vehicle model as shown in the positioning guide.

Position the step on the mounting brackets so the square head screws are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear. Locate the step in and out as desired, then install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #4) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb ft. Install serrated flange nuts on any unused square head screws in the inboard slot of the step and tighten to 19 lb ft.
