Regal 7 wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for practical access to the bed of your truck, featuring an extended length and extra rear step pads. Wheel-to-wheel running boards give you a solid step up for easily reaching items in the truck bed, such as a truck tool box, ladder rack, 5th wheel hitch or other equipment. Regal 7 oval side steps are fitted with large, non-skid step pads. They feature a 7" width and a textured surface, providing enhanced comfort and safety when climbing in and out of your pickup truck. The step pads and matching end caps of Regal 7 wheel-to-wheel steps are angled for a sleek accent. To ensure excellent strength and lasting corrosion resistance, Regal 7 oval side steps are constructed from stainless steel. The stainless steel tubing measures 7" wide and has an elliptical shape for style and strength. All Regal 7 side steps are designed for a custom-fit installation, using vehicle-specific brackets. The brackets are built from strong carbon steel and have a durable black powder coat finish. They install using pre-existing mounting points on the truck to greatly reduce installation time and eliminate tedious modifications. This particular set of LUVERNE Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel steps is designed to fit specific years of the Ram 2500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).

The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.

The Regal 7 Oval Steps are pre-assembled from the factory. The package includes the step assembly, support mounting plates, end caps, step pads, fasteners, and hardware. The serial number label is located on the front inside of the driver's side step assembly. Specific contents vary by model; refer to the service parts list for your model number (477097, 477101, 477113 for extended cabs; 477102, 477108, 477114, 477125 for crew cabs).
Regal 7 Oval Steps are available for specific extended cab and crew cab models. Extended cab models: 477097 (96"), 477101 (100"), 477113 (112"). Crew cab models: 477102 (100"), 477108 (106"), 477114 (112"), 477125 (123"). The numbers in parentheses indicate step length. Confirm your vehicle cab style and bed length match one of these models before purchasing.
The bracket kit 401438 is designed for 2014 and newer Dodge Ram 2500 cab pickups. If your vehicle is a different year, model, or truck type, this bracket kit may not be compatible. Consult the bracket package instructions or contact the manufacturer to confirm fitment for your specific vehicle.
The step is attached using 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolts (item #10), 5/16" flat washers (item #11), and 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts (item #12). These fasteners pass through the support mounting plates and mounting brackets. Ensure all required fasteners are on hand before starting installation.
For vehicles with threaded inserts in the rocker panel: 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts (item #9, qty 12), 1/4" flat washers (item #10, qty 12), 1/4-20 flange nuts (item #11, qty 12), M8 x 25mm screws (item #12, qty 12), and 5/16" flat washers (item #13, qty 12). Verify all parts are present before beginning installation.
Vehicles without threaded inserts require T-bolt weldments (item #15, qty 6), plastic bolt retainers (item #16, qty 6), M8 flange nuts (item #14, qty 6), and 5/16" flat washers (item #13, qty 12) in addition to the standard carriage bolts, washers, and screws. The T-bolts are inserted into the large obround holes in the rocker panel vertical wall.
Before starting installation, read the complete instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the service parts list are on hand. Also follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package you are using to mount the brackets to your vehicle. Do not begin step installation until the mounting brackets are properly installed.
1. Set the step on the mounting brackets. 2. Slide each support mounting plate (item #9) inside the oval step and above each bracket. 3. Insert the 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolt through the support mounting plate and bracket. 4. Add the 5/16" flat washer and 5/16-18 serrated flange nut. 5. Set the step plate in the correct position. 6. Tighten all fasteners and torque all 5/16" fasteners to 19 LB FT.
1. Place the driver's side front bracket (item #1) against the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. 2. Align the two rectangular holes of the lower mounting flange with the two obround holes in the pinchweld. 3. Insert two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts (item #9) through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld. 4. Add a 1/4" flat washer (item #10) and 1/4-20 flange nut (item #11) to each bolt; leave finger tight. 5. Insert an M8 x 25mm screw (item #12) with a 5/16" flat washer (item #13) through the slots on the upper mounting flange; leave finger tight.
1. Insert the T-bolt weldment (item #15) into the large obround hole in the rocker panel vertical wall, nut end first. Be careful not to drop it inside the rocker panel. 2. Attach the plastic bolt retainer (item #16) to the threaded stud to prevent the T-bolt from falling. 3. Place the driver's side front bracket (item #1) against the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. 4. Align and insert two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts (item #9) through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld. 5. Add washers and flange nuts; leave finger tight. 6. Rotate the T-bolt so the threaded nut is visible through the slotted hole in the upper mounting flange. 7. Insert an M8 x 25mm screw (item #12) with a 5/16" flat washer (item #13); leave finger tight.
Repeat the same installation procedure as the front bracket for both the middle and rear brackets (item #2). For vehicles with threaded inserts, follow steps 2.1-2.2. For vehicles without threaded inserts, follow steps 2.5-2.8. The installation process is identical for all three bracket positions on each side of the vehicle.
The passenger side installation is a mirror image of the driver's side. Use item #2 (front bracket) for the front position, item #1 (middle bracket) for the middle position, and item #1 (rear bracket) for the rear position. Follow the same installation steps as the driver's side, adjusting for the mirror orientation.
1. Loosen the bolt that fastens the suspension links to the vehicle. 2. Slide the upper mounting bracket (item #3) between the bolt head and the frame bracket. 3. Tighten the bolt, ensuring the upper mounting bracket is level.
Fasten the lower bracket (item #5) to the upper bracket (item #3) using 3/8" bolts, washers, and nuts (items #6, #7, #8) through the two lower holes in the upper bracket. Ensure the lower bracket sits level to the front brackets before final tightening.
Install the step plates and adjust the brackets and boards before tightening all fasteners. This allows you to ensure proper alignment and level positioning of all components before final tightening.
All 5/16" fasteners used to attach the step assembly to the mounting brackets must be torqued to 19 LB FT.
The support mounting plates (item #9) are 11 gauge galvanized steel. There are 10 support mounting plates included in the step assembly package.
Two types of step pads are included: 25" x 6.5" plastic black pads (item #6, qty 6) and optional 15" x 6.5" plastic pads (item #13, qty 2) if needed.
The bracket kit uses 1/4-20 x 1.00" stainless steel black carriage bolts (item #9, qty 12). These are used to attach the lower mounting flanges to the pinchweld.
The bracket kit uses M8 x 1.25 x 25mm zinc-plated hex head screws (item #12, qty 12). These are inserted through the slots on the upper mounting flanges with 5/16" flat washers.
The T-bolt weldments (item #15, qty 6) are zinc-plated and part number 571632. They are used on vehicles without threaded inserts in the rocker panel. The T-bolt is inserted into the large obround hole with the nut end first, and a plastic bolt retainer (item #16) is attached to the threaded stud to prevent it from falling into the rocker panel.
The lower bracket (item #5) is attached to the upper bracket (item #3) using 3/8-16 x 1.0" zinc-plated hex head screws (item #8, qty 4), 3/8" flat washers (item #6, qty 4), and 3/8-16 serrated flange hex nuts (item #7, qty 4).
