LUVERNE Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the ultimate combination of deluxe style and reliable functionality. They feature extra rear step pads for convenient truck bed access, a highly rust-resistant construction and a vehicle-specific fit for your truck. Regal 7 wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for practical access to the bed of your truck, featuring an extended length and extra rear step pads. Wheel-to-wheel running boards give you a solid step up for easily reaching items in the truck bed, such as a truck tool box, ladder rack, 5th wheel hitch or other equipment. Regal 7 oval side steps are fitted with large, non-skid step pads. They feature a 7" width and a textured surface, providing enhanced comfort and safety when climbing in and out of your pickup truck. The step pads and matching end caps of Regal 7 wheel-to-wheel steps are angled for a sleek accent. To ensure excellent strength and lasting corrosion resistance, Regal 7 oval side steps are constructed from stainless steel. The stainless steel tubing measures 7" wide and has an elliptical shape for style and strength. All Regal 7 side steps are designed for a custom-fit installation, using vehicle-specific brackets. The brackets are built from strong carbon steel and have a durable black powder coat finish. They install using pre-existing mounting points on the truck to greatly reduce installation time and eliminate tedious modifications. This particular set of LUVERNE Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel steps is designed to fit specific years of the Ram 3500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are designed to be the largest oval nerf bars on the market, featuring a patented design, non-skid step pads and a sleek nerf bar styling. They have full-width step pads for non-skid comfort and safety.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The Regal 7 Oval Steps fit specific cab styles and bed lengths. Extended cab models are 477097 (96"), 477101 (100"), and 477113 (112"). Crew cab models are 477102 (100"), 477108 (106"), 477114 (112"), and 477125 (123"). Confirm your truck's cab style and bed length before ordering. The steps are boards only and require a separate mounting bracket package specific to your vehicle.
The Model 401338 Regal 7/Grip Step Bracket Kit is designed for 2013 and newer Dodge Ram 3500 cab pickups. The kit is compatible with vehicles that have either threaded inserts in the rocker panel or can accommodate T-bolt weldment installation.
Yes, the steps are pre-assembled from the factory. The serial number label is located on the front inside of the driver's side step assembly. You do not need to assemble the step itself; you only need to attach it to the mounting brackets.
Each step assembly includes 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolts, flat washers, and serrated flange nuts (items #10, #11, #12). Support mounting plates (item #9) are also included. The exact quantities depend on the step model. Refer to the Service Parts List for your specific model to confirm all included hardware.
The 401338 bracket kit includes mounting brackets, carriage bolts (1/4-20 x 1"), flat washers (1/4" and 5/16"), flange nuts (1/4-20 and M8), M8 x 25mm screws, 3/8" bolts, washers, and serrated flange nuts. For vehicles without threaded inserts, T-bolt weldments and plastic bolt retainers are also included. See the Service Parts List for complete quantities and part numbers.
Yes. The mounting brackets must be installed first. The manual states: "Follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package that you are using to mount the brackets to your vehicle." The steps are then attached to these pre-installed brackets using the support mounting plates and fasteners.
1. Set the step on the mounting brackets. 2. Slide each support mounting plate (item #9) inside the oval step and above each bracket. 3. Using the supplied 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolt, washer, and serrated flange nut (items #10, #11, #12), attach the step assembly, support mounting plate, and mounting bracket. 4. Set the step plate in the correct position and tighten all fasteners to 19 LB FT.
All 5/16" fasteners must be torqued to 19 LB FT. This applies to the hex bolts, washers, and serrated flange nuts that attach the step assembly to the mounting brackets.
1. Place the driver's side front bracket (item #1) up to the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. 2. Align the two rectangular holes of the lower mounting flange with the two obround holes in the pinchweld. 3. Insert two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts (item #8) through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld. 4. Place a 1/4" flat washer (item #9) and 1/4-20 flange nut (item #10) on the carriage bolts; leave finger tight. 5. Insert an M8 x 25mm screw (item #11) with a 5/16" flat washer (item #12) through the slots on the upper mounting flange; leave finger tight. 6. Repeat for middle and rear brackets (item #2). 7. Mirror this process on the passenger side, using item #2 for the front bracket and item #1 for the middle and rear brackets.
1. Install the T-bolt weldment (item #14) into the large obround hole on the vertical wall of the rocker panel, inserting the nut end first and leaving the threaded stud sticking out. Be careful not to drop the T-bolt inside the rocker panel. 2. Attach the flat plastic bolt retainer (item #15) to the threaded stud to prevent the T-bolt from falling. 3. Place the driver's side front bracket (item #1) up to the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. 4. Align the two rectangular holes of the lower mounting flange with the two obround holes in the pinchweld. 5. Insert two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts (item #8) through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld. 6. Place a 1/4" flat washer (item #9) and 1/4-20 flange nut (item #10) on the carriage bolts; leave finger tight. 7. Place a flat washer (item #12) and an M8 flange nut (item #13) on the threaded stud of the T-bolt; leave finger tight. 8. Rotate the T-bolt so the threaded nut is visible through the slotted hole in the upper mounting flange. 9. Insert an M8 x 25mm screw (item #11) with a 5/16" flat washer (item #12); leave finger tight. 10. Repeat steps 2.5-2.8 for the middle and rear brackets (item #2). 11. Mirror this process on the passenger side.
1. Loosen the bolt that fastens the leaf spring to the vehicle. 2. Slide the upper mounting bracket (item #4) between the bolt head and the frame bracket. 3. Place a 3/8" bolt and washer (items #5, #7) through the hole in the upper mounting bracket and frame bracket, then fasten with a 3/8" serrated flange nut (item #6). 4. Tighten the leaf spring bolt, making sure the upper mounting bracket is level. 5. Fasten the lower bracket (item #3) to the upper bracket (item #4) using a 3/8" bolt, washer, and flange nut (items #5, #6, #7), using the two lower holes in the upper bracket and ensuring it sits level to the front brackets.
Leave all fasteners finger tight during the initial installation steps. Only after you have installed the step plates and adjusted the brackets and boards to the correct position should you tighten all fasteners to their final torque specifications. This allows for proper alignment and positioning before final tightening.
Read the instructions completely and verify that all required parts listed on the Service Parts List are on hand before starting installation. For the 401338 bracket kit, confirm whether your vehicle has threaded inserts in the rocker panel, as this determines which installation procedure to follow.
The main differences are bed length and step dimensions. Extended cab models come in 96", 100", and 112" lengths (models 477097, 477101, 477113). Crew cab models come in 100", 106", 112", and 123" lengths (models 477102, 477108, 477114, 477125). The longer crew cab models accommodate the longer wheelbase of crew cab trucks. Each model uses different step assemblies (different part numbers) to fit the specific truck configuration.
Regal 7 steps fit extended cabs in 96", 100", or 112" lengths, and crew cabs in 100", 106", 112", or 123" lengths. Confirm your truck's cab style and bed length against the model numbers (477097–477125) before purchasing.
The 401338 bracket kit fits 2013 and newer Dodge Ram 3500 cab pickups. It works with vehicles that have threaded inserts in the rocker panel or can accommodate T-bolt weldment installation.
Yes. Mounting brackets must be installed first using the instructions included with your specific bracket package. The Regal 7 Oval Steps are then attached to these brackets.
All 5/16" fasteners must be torqued to 19 LB FT.
Leave fasteners finger tight during installation. Tighten all fasteners only after you have installed the step plates and adjusted the brackets and boards to the correct position.
When installing the T-bolt weldment into the rocker panel obround hole, be careful not to drop it inside the rocker panel. Immediately attach the plastic bolt retainer to the threaded stud to prevent the T-bolt from falling.
