LUVERNE Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the ultimate combination of deluxe style and reliable functionality. They feature extra rear step pads for convenient truck bed access, a highly rust-resistant construction and a vehicle-specific fit for your truck. Regal 7 wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for practical access to the bed of your truck, featuring an extended length and extra rear step pads. Wheel-to-wheel running boards give you a solid step up for easily reaching items in the truck bed, such as a truck tool box, ladder rack, 5th wheel hitch or other equipment. Regal 7 oval side steps are fitted with large, non-skid step pads. They feature a 7" width and a textured surface, providing enhanced comfort and safety when climbing in and out of your pickup truck. The step pads and matching end caps of Regal 7 wheel-to-wheel steps are angled for a sleek accent. To ensure excellent strength and lasting corrosion resistance, Regal 7 oval side steps are constructed from stainless steel. The stainless steel tubing measures 7" wide and has an elliptical shape for style and strength. All Regal 7 side steps are designed for a custom-fit installation, using vehicle-specific brackets. The brackets are built from strong carbon steel and have a durable black powder coat finish. They install using pre-existing mounting points on the truck to greatly reduce installation time and eliminate tedious modifications. This particular set of LUVERNE Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel steps is designed to fit specific years of the Ram 3500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are designed to be the largest oval nerf bars on the market, featuring a patented design, non-skid step pads and a sleek nerf bar styling. They have full-width step pads for non-skid comfort and safety.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Yes. The 401338 Regal 7/Grip Step Bracket Kit is designed for 2013 and newer Dodge Ram 3500 cab pickups.
The steps are pre-assembled from the factory. The serial number label is located on the front inside of the driver's side step assembly. You only need to attach them to the mounting brackets.
The installation uses 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolts (item #10), 5/16" flat washers (item #11), and serrated flange nuts (item #12). Twenty of each fastener are supplied in the service parts list. These fasteners attach the step assembly, support mounting plate, and mounting bracket together.
The support mounting plates (item #9, part 552052) are 11-gauge galvanized steel plates. There are 10 supplied. Each plate slides inside the oval step and above each bracket to distribute the load when the step is attached.
Read the complete installation instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the service parts list are on hand before starting. The steps are pre-assembled, so you mainly need to confirm you have the correct bracket package instructions for your vehicle and all fasteners (bolts, washers, nuts, and support mounting plates).
Yes. The manual states you must follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package you are using to mount the brackets to your vehicle. The Regal 7 Oval Steps installation instructions cover only how to attach the pre-assembled steps to the brackets once the brackets are installed.
1. Set the step on the mounting brackets. 2. Slide each support mounting plate (item #9) inside the oval step and above each bracket. 3. Using the supplied 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolt, washer, and serrated flange nut (items #10, #11, #12), attach the step assembly, support mounting plate, and mounting bracket together. 4. Set the step plate in the correct position and tighten all fasteners to 19 LB FT.
All 5/16" fasteners must be torqued to 19 LB FT. This applies to the hex bolts, washers, and serrated flange nuts that attach the step assembly to the mounting brackets.
1. Install the driver's side front bracket (item #1) at the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. Align the two rectangular holes with the obround holes in the pinchweld. 2. Insert two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts (item #8) through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld, add 1/4" flat washer (item #9) and 1/4-20 flange nut (item #10), leave finger-tight. 3. Insert an M8 x 25mm screw (item #11) with 5/16" flat washer (item #12) through the slots on the upper mounting flange, leave finger-tight. 4. Repeat on the middle and rear brackets (item #2). 5. Mirror this process on the passenger side, using item #2 for the front bracket and item #1 for the middle and rear brackets.
1. Install the T-bolt weldment (item #14) into the large obround hole on the vertical wall of the rocker panel, inserting the nut end first and leaving the threaded stud sticking out. Attach the flat plastic bolt retainer (item #15) to the threaded stud to prevent the T-bolt from falling into the rocker panel. 2. Install the driver's side front bracket (item #1) at the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. Insert two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts (item #8) through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld, add 1/4" flat washer (item #9) and 1/4-20 flange nut (item #10), leave finger-tight. 3. Place a flat washer (item #12) and M8 flange nut (item #13) on the threaded stud of the T-bolt, leave finger-tight. 4. Rotate the T-bolt so the threaded nut is visible through the slotted hole in the upper mounting flange. Insert an M8 x 25mm screw (item #11) with 5/16" flat washer (item #12), leave finger-tight. 5. Repeat steps 1-4 on the middle and rear brackets (item #2). 6. Mirror this process on the passenger side.
1. Loosen the bolt that fastens the leaf spring to the vehicle. 2. Slide the upper mounting bracket (item #4) between the bolt head and the frame bracket. 3. Place a 3/8" bolt and washer (items #5 and #7) through the hole in the upper mounting bracket and frame bracket. 4. Fasten with a 3/8" serrated flange nut (item #6). 5. Tighten the leaf spring bolt, making sure the upper mounting bracket is level.
Use a 3/8" bolt, washer, and flange nut (items #5, #6, #7) through the two lower holes in the upper bracket (item #4) to attach the lower bracket (item #3). Make sure the lower bracket sits level to the front brackets.
Install the step plates and adjust the brackets and boards before tightening all fasteners. This allows you to position the steps correctly before final tightening.
For the pinchweld installation on both trucks with and without threaded inserts: two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts (item #8), 1/4" flat washers (item #9), and 1/4-20 flange nuts (item #10) per bracket. Additionally, M8 x 25mm screws (item #11) with 5/16" flat washers (item #12) are used on the upper mounting flange. The manual does not specify torque values for these fasteners.
3/8" bolts (item #7), 3/8" flat washers (item #5), and 3/8" serrated flange nuts (item #6) are used to attach the upper mounting bracket to the leaf spring shackle and to fasten the lower bracket to the upper bracket. The manual does not specify torque values for these fasteners.
The T-bolt weldment (item #14, part 553012) is M8 size and is used on Dodge Ram 3500 trucks without threaded inserts in the rocker panel. It is inserted into the large obround hole on the vertical wall of the rocker panel with the nut end first.
Be careful not to drop the T-bolt inside the rocker panel when inserting it into the large obround hole. Attach the flat plastic bolt retainer (item #15) to the threaded stud of the T-bolt immediately after installation to keep the T-bolt from falling into the rocker panel.
The Regal 7 Oval Steps fit extended cab trucks (models 477097, 477101, 477113) and crew cab trucks (models 477102, 477108, 477114, 477125). Each model is designed for a specific cab length (96", 100", 106", 112", or 123"). Check your truck's cab type and bed length against the model specifications.
The 401338 Regal 7/Grip Step Bracket Kit is designed for 2013 and newer Dodge Ram 3500 cab pickups only. It will not fit other Ram models or years.
Yes, the steps are pre-assembled from the factory. You only need to attach them to the mounting brackets using the supplied 5/16-18 x 1" hex bolts, washers, and serrated flange nuts.
Yes. You must follow the instructions included with your specific bracket package to install the brackets on your vehicle first. The Regal 7 Oval Steps instructions cover only how to attach the pre-assembled steps to the brackets.
Torque all 5/16" fasteners to 19 LB FT. This includes the hex bolts, washers, and serrated flange nuts that attach the step to the mounting brackets.
No. Leave all fasteners finger-tight during initial installation. Install the step plates and adjust the brackets and boards to the correct position first, then tighten all fasteners.
When installing the T-bolt weldment into the rocker panel, be careful not to drop it inside the panel. Immediately attach the plastic bolt retainer to the threaded stud to prevent the T-bolt from falling into the rocker panel.
