LUVERNE Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the ultimate combination of deluxe style and reliable functionality. They feature extra rear step pads for convenient truck bed access, a highly rust-resistant construction and a vehicle-specific fit for your truck. Regal 7 wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for practical access to the bed of your truck, featuring an extended length and extra rear step pads. Wheel-to-wheel running boards give you a solid step up for easily reaching items in the truck bed, such as a truck tool box, ladder rack, 5th wheel hitch or other equipment. Regal 7 oval side steps are fitted with large, non-skid step pads. They feature a 7" width and a textured surface, providing enhanced comfort and safety when climbing in and out of your pickup truck. The step pads and matching end caps of Regal 7 wheel-to-wheel steps are angled for a sleek accent. To ensure excellent strength and lasting corrosion resistance, Regal 7 oval side steps are constructed from stainless steel. The stainless steel tubing measures 7" wide and has an elliptical shape for style and strength. All Regal 7 side steps are designed for a custom-fit installation, using vehicle-specific brackets. The brackets are built from strong carbon steel and have a durable black powder coat finish. They install using pre-existing mounting points on the truck to greatly reduce installation time and eliminate tedious modifications. This particular set of LUVERNE Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel steps is designed to fit specific years of the Ram 2500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are designed to be the largest oval nerf bars on the market, featuring a patented design, non-skid step pads and a sleek nerf bar styling. They have full-width step pads for non-skid comfort and safety.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The Regal 7 Oval Steps are pre-assembled from the factory. The package includes the step assembly (left and right sides), support mounting plates, end caps, step pads, and all fasteners listed in the service parts list: hex head bolts, washers, serrated flange nuts, and carriage bolts. The serial number label is located on the front inside of the driver's side step assembly.
The Regal 7 Oval Steps are designed for 2014 and newer RAM 2500 Pickups, including Regular Cab, Quad Cab, Crew Cab, and Mega Cab models. The steps are available in multiple bed lengths: 96", 100", 106", 112", and 123", depending on the specific model number (477097, 477101, 477113, 477102, 477108, 477114, 477125). Confirm your truck's cab style and bed length before ordering.
No. For Regular Cab pickups, only the front and rear cab mounting brackets are used. The center mounting bracket and its fasteners may be discarded and do not need to be installed.
Yes. The orientation of the rear bracket differs between Regular Cab, Quad Cab, and Crew Cab pickups compared to Mega Cab pickups. The manual references Figure 1 for Regular/Quad/Crew Cab installation and Figure 2 for Mega Cab installation, but these figures are not included in the provided documentation. Consult the complete manual or contact the manufacturer for the correct orientation for your specific cab style.
The step assembly is attached using 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolts (item #10), flat washers (item #11), and serrated flange nuts (item #12). Each mounting point requires one bolt, washer, and nut. All 5/16" fasteners are torqued to 19 LB FT.
Load reaction studs require 3/8" serrated flange nuts (item #17), 3/8" flat washers (item #16), and rubber cushion washers (item #15). For the front bracket, use a 4" stud (item #19); for rear brackets, use 3" studs (item #18). The rubber cushion washer must be recessed approximately 3/16" into the stud end.
Front and center body mounts use M12 – 110MM bolts (item #12) with 2.0" washers (item #14). Rear body mounts use M12 – 116MM bolts (item #13) with ½" flat washers (item #21). All body mount bolts are left finger tight during initial installation and tightened after all brackets are positioned.
Yes. You must remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts from the right side of the vehicle. These factory bolts will not be reused. Install the mounting brackets using the new M12 bolts and washers supplied in the kit. For Regular Cab pickups, you only need to remove and replace the front and rear body mount bolts; the center bolt may be left in place since the center bracket is not used.
Yes. The manual explicitly requires that you read the instructions completely and verify that all required parts listed in the service parts list are on hand before starting installation. This prevents delays and ensures you have all fasteners, brackets, and hardware needed to complete the job.
1. Set the step on the mounting brackets. 2. Slide each support mounting plate (item #9) inside the oval step and position it above each bracket. 3. Attach using 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolts, washers, and serrated flange nuts (items #10, #11, #12). 4. Set the step plate in the correct position. 5. Tighten all fasteners to 19 LB FT.
Loosen the bolt that fastens the suspension links to the vehicle. Slide the upper mounting bracket (item #9) between the bolt head and the frame bracket. Tighten the bolt, ensuring that the upper mounting bracket is level. Then fasten the lower bracket (item #11) to the upper bracket using 3/8" bolts, washers, and nuts (items #16, #17, #20) through the two lower holes in the upper bracket, making sure it sits level to the front brackets.
Position the load reaction stud assembly so that the rubber cushion washer is snug against the side of the frame. Once properly positioned, tighten the 3/8" serrated flange nuts on either side of the bracket to 19 LB FT. The rubber cushion must make firm contact with the frame to ensure proper load distribution.
All body mount fasteners should be left finger tight during initial installation: the M12 – 110MM bolts at the front and center body mounts (step 4.1 and 4.2) and the M12 – 116MM bolts at the rear body mount (step 4.3). These are tightened only after all brackets are positioned and the step plate is set in the correct position.
Attach the rear outboard mounting bracket (item #7 or #8) to the rear inboard mounting bracket (item #5 or #6) in the upper mounting location using three 3/8-16 x 1.0" screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts (items #20, #16, #17).
All 5/16" fasteners used to attach the step assembly to the mounting brackets must be torqued to 19 LB FT. This applies to the 5/16-18 x 1" hex bolts, washers, and serrated flange nuts that secure the step assembly and support mounting plates.
The 3/8" serrated flange nuts on either side of the load reaction stud assembly must be torqued to 19 LB FT. This applies after the rubber cushion washer is positioned snug against the frame side wall.
Use a 4" stud (item #19) for the front bracket and a 3" stud (item #18) for the rear brackets. Both studs are 3/8-16 diameter and double-ended (front) or single-ended (rear) as specified in the service parts list.
The end of the load reaction stud must be recessed in the rubber cushion washer approximately 3/16". This is achieved by installing the 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards to the bottom of the thread, then installing the 3/8" flat washer and rubber cushion washer tight up against the serrated flange nut.
The rubber cushion washer (item #15) provides vibration isolation and load distribution between the mounting bracket and the vehicle frame. It must be positioned snug against the frame side wall and recessed approximately 3/16" into the stud end to function properly. This cushioning helps protect the frame and reduces stress on the mounting points during vehicle operation.
After installation, verify that: (1) all fasteners are tightened to the specified torque values (19 LB FT for 5/16" and 3/8" fasteners); (2) the step plate is positioned correctly and level; (3) the rubber cushion washers on the load reaction studs are snug against the frame; (4) the upper mounting brackets at the suspension link are level to the front brackets; and (5) all body mount bolts are fully tightened. Check that the step assembly does not move or rattle when pressure is applied.
Yes, Regal 7 Oval Steps fit 2014 and newer RAM 2500 Pickups in all cab styles (Regular, Quad, Crew, and Mega Cab). Confirm your bed length (96", 100", 106", 112", or 123") to select the correct model number.
Yes. The Regal 7 Oval Steps (boards only) require separate mounting brackets. Use model 571439/401439 W2W Mega/Grip Step Brackets designed for 2014+ RAM 2500 Pickups. Follow the bracket manufacturer's instructions for installation.
Yes. You must remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts from the right side of the vehicle. These bolts will not be reused. For Regular Cab pickups, only the front and rear bolts need to be removed.
Torque all 5/16" fasteners (hex bolts, washers, and flange nuts) to 19 LB FT. Also torque all 3/8" flange nuts on the load reaction studs to 19 LB FT.
Yes. All body mount fasteners (M12 bolts at front, center, and rear) should be left finger tight during initial installation. Tighten them fully only after all brackets are positioned and the step plate is set in the correct position.
The rubber cushion washer provides vibration isolation and load distribution between the bracket and frame. It must be snug against the frame side wall to function properly and protect the frame during vehicle operation.
