Regal 7 wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for practical access to the bed of your truck, featuring an extended length and extra rear step pads. Wheel-to-wheel running boards give you a solid step up for easily reaching items in the truck bed, such as a truck tool box, ladder rack, 5th wheel hitch or other equipment. Regal 7 oval side steps are fitted with large, non-skid step pads. They feature a 7" width and a textured surface, providing enhanced comfort and safety when climbing in and out of your pickup truck. The step pads and matching end caps of Regal 7 wheel-to-wheel steps are angled for a sleek accent. To ensure excellent strength and lasting corrosion resistance, Regal 7 oval side steps are constructed from stainless steel. The stainless steel tubing measures 7" wide and has an elliptical shape for style and strength. All Regal 7 side steps are designed for a custom-fit installation, using vehicle-specific brackets. The brackets are built from strong carbon steel and have a durable black powder coat finish. They install using pre-existing mounting points on the truck to greatly reduce installation time and eliminate tedious modifications. This particular set of LUVERNE Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel steps is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 2500 HD or 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 2500 HD or 3500 HD (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).

Yes, the steps are pre-assembled from the factory. The serial number label is located on the front inside of the driver's side step assembly.
Each step is attached using 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolts (item #10), flat washers (item #11), and serrated flange nuts (item #12). The manual supplies 20 of each fastener type.
All 5/16" fasteners on the REGAL 7 OVAL STEPS must be torqued to 19 LB FT.
1. Set the step on the mounting brackets. 2. Slide each support mounting plate (item #9) inside the oval step and above each bracket. 3. Using the supplied 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolt, washer, and serrated flange nut, attach the step assembly, support mounting plate, and mounting bracket. 4. Set the step plate in the correct position and tighten all fasteners to 19 LB FT.

Yes, the 401747 GRIP-STEP/REGAL 7 W2W bracket is a no-drill, body mount application. It uses existing factory body mount bolt locations.
Pre-assemble the front bracket (items #1, 3, 14) using three 3/8"-16 x 1.0" screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts (items #10, 11, 13). Torque to 19 LB FT as shown in Figure 1.
1. On the short threaded end of the load reaction stud (item #12), install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (item #11) backwards to the bottom of the thread. 2. Install a 3/8" flat washer (item #10) and rubber cushion washer (item #9) tight against the serrated flange nut. The end of the stud must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16". 3. On the long threaded end, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (item #12) backwards near the bottom of the threads.
Insert the stud from the inboard (frame) side through the lowest hole in the bent flange of the bracket that will allow the rubber washer to seat firmly against the side wall of the frame. Install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (item #11) on the outboard end of the stud finger tight only at this stage.
Remove the factory front body mount bolt and install the front mounting bracket (items #1, 3) to the front body mount as shown in the instructions. Leave these fasteners finger tight until all brackets are positioned.
Remove the factory center body mount bolt and install the center mounting bracket (item #4) to the center body mount as shown. Leave these fasteners finger tight. Note: Center mounting brackets (items #4, #5) are used as rear brackets on Regular Cab models only.
Remove the factory rear body mount bolt and install the rear mounting bracket (item #8) and washer (item #15) to the rear body mount as shown. Leave these fasteners finger tight.
Attach the rear outboard mounting bracket (item #6) to the rear inboard mounting bracket (item #8) using three 3/8"-16 x 1.0" screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts (items #13, #10, #11). The rear outboard bracket must be mounted to the back side (towards the rear of the vehicle) of the rear inboard bracket as shown in Figures 2 and 3. Use the correct holes as shown; there is a difference between Double Cab and Crew Cab applications. Torque to 19 LB FT.
1. Loosen the spring hanger bolt or nut just enough to slide the inboard spring hanger mounting bracket (item #18) behind the flange of the bolt or nut. 2. Position the inboard bracket with the channel open to the outboard side. 3. Install the outboard spring hanger mounting bracket (item #19) so its inboard portion fits inside the channel of the inboard bracket, using a 3/8-16 x 2" bolt, 3/8" flat washer, 1/2" flat washer, and 3/8-16 nylon lock nut (items #10, #16, #17, #20). Leave loose until the step board is in place.
After installing the step boards per their included instructions, position the load reaction bolt assembly so the rubber cushion is snug against the side of the frame. Tighten the 3/8" flange nuts on either side of the bracket to 19 LB FT. Ensure the mounting brackets do not touch the inside wall of the body mount housing, and torque the body mount fasteners to manufacturer's specifications.
All 3/8" fasteners on the 401747 bracket must be torqued to 19 LB FT.
Due to excessive thread locker in the body mount bolt area on 2010+ GM Silverado/Sierra vehicles, use caution when removing the body mount bolts.
CURT recommends regular inspection and maintenance of the leaf spring attachment point per GM Technical Service Bulletin 09-03-09-001E: Clunking Noise from Rear of Vehicle (Re-torque Leaf Spring Bolts) for 2007-2017 Chevrolet and GMC trucks. Failure to regularly inspect and maintain factory-recommended torque values may result in damage to the vehicle.
