LUVERNE Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the ultimate combination of deluxe style and reliable functionality. They feature extra rear step pads for convenient truck bed access, a highly rust-resistant construction and a vehicle-specific fit for your truck. Regal 7 wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for practical access to the bed of your truck, featuring an extended length and extra rear step pads. Wheel-to-wheel running boards give you a solid step up for easily reaching items in the truck bed, such as a truck tool box, ladder rack, 5th wheel hitch or other equipment. Regal 7 oval side steps are fitted with large, non-skid step pads. They feature a 7" width and a textured surface, providing enhanced comfort and safety when climbing in and out of your pickup truck. The step pads and matching end caps of Regal 7 wheel-to-wheel steps are angled for a sleek accent. To ensure excellent strength and lasting corrosion resistance, Regal 7 oval side steps are constructed from stainless steel. The stainless steel tubing measures 7" wide and has an elliptical shape for style and strength. All Regal 7 side steps are designed for a custom-fit installation, using vehicle-specific brackets. The brackets are built from strong carbon steel and have a durable black powder coat finish. They install using pre-existing mounting points on the truck to greatly reduce installation time and eliminate tedious modifications. This particular set of LUVERNE Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel steps is designed to fit specific years of the Ram 1500 and Dodge Ram 1500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are designed to be the largest oval nerf bars on the market, featuring a patented design, non-skid step pads and a sleek nerf bar styling. They have full-width step pads for non-skid comfort and safety.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Yes, the Regal 7 Oval Step is compatible with 2009+ Dodge Ram 1500 cab pickups when used with the model 400938 bracket kit. The step assembly attaches to mounting brackets that are installed on the vehicle's rocker panel and frame. Confirm your truck's cab style (extended or crew) and bed length to select the correct step model (477097, 477101, 477113 for extended cabs; 477102, 477108, 477114, 477125 for crew cabs).
Extended cab models: 477097 (96"), 477101 (100"), 477113 (112"). Crew cab models: 477102 (100"), 477108 (106"), 477114 (112"), 477125 (123"). The numbers in parentheses indicate the step length. Select the model that matches your truck's cab style and bed length. Each model comes as a left-hand (LH) and right-hand (RH) pair.
The step is pre-assembled from the factory. The serial number label is located on the front inside driver's side step assembly. You only need to attach the pre-assembled step to the mounting brackets.
For each step, the kit includes 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolts, 5/16" flat washers, and 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts (items #10, 11, 12 in the service parts list). These fasteners attach the step assembly and support mounting plates to the mounting brackets. The kit includes 20 of each fastener type to cover both left and right steps.
1. Set the step on the mounting brackets. 2. Slide each support mounting plate (item #9) inside the oval step and above each bracket. 3. Insert a 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolt through the support mounting plate and bracket, then add a 5/16" flat washer and 5/16-18 serrated flange nut. 4. Set the step plate in the correct position and tighten all fasteners to 19 LB FT.
Torque all 5/16" fasteners to 19 LB FT. This applies to the 5/16-18 x 1" hex bolts, washers, and serrated flange nuts that attach the step assembly to the mounting brackets.
The model 400938 bracket kit is designed for 2009+ Dodge Ram 1500 cab pickups. However, 2009–2012 trucks without obround holes in the pinchweld will require drilling two 5/16" holes for each bracket. Trucks with threaded inserts in the rocker panel and those without require different installation procedures, so confirm your truck's rocker panel configuration before installation.
Yes, if your 2009–2012 Dodge Ram does not have obround holes in the pinchweld, you will need to drill two 5/16" holes for each bracket. To locate the holes, position the bracket against the pinchweld as instructed in step 2.5, then mark the pinchweld for drilling. Trucks with obround holes already present do not require drilling.
Read the complete installation instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the service parts list are on hand before starting. Follow the instructions included with your specific bracket package to mount the brackets to your vehicle first. The step itself is pre-assembled and ready to attach once the brackets are installed.
1. Install the mounting brackets to the rocker panel (pinchweld) using carriage bolts and either threaded inserts or T-bolt weldments, depending on your truck's configuration. Leave fasteners finger tight. 2. Attach the inboard mounting brackets to the frame using 1/2-13 fasteners, leaving them loose. 3. Attach the W2W support bracket to the inboard bracket and frame using 3/8-16 and 1/2-13 fasteners, leaving them loose. 4. Install the W2W outboard mounting bracket using 5/16-18 fasteners, leaving them loose. 5. Install the step plates and adjust all brackets and boards before tightening all fasteners.
1. Place the driver's side front bracket (item #1) against the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. 2. Align the two rectangular holes in the lower mounting flange with the two obround holes in the pinchweld. 3. Insert two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld, then add a 1/4" flat washer and 1/4-20 flange nut to each bolt. Leave finger tight. 4. Insert an M8 x 25mm screw with a 5/16" flat washer through the slots on the upper mounting flange. Leave finger tight. 5. Repeat for the middle and rear brackets. 6. For the passenger side, use item #2 for the front bracket and item #1 for the middle and rear brackets.
1. Install the T-bolt weldment (item #22) into the large obround hole in the rocker panel's vertical wall, inserting the nut end first and leaving the threaded stud sticking out. Attach the flat plastic bolt retainer (item #23) to the threaded stud to prevent the T-bolt from falling into the rocker panel. 2. Place the driver's side front bracket (item #1) against the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. 3. Insert two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld, then add a 1/4" flat washer and 1/4-20 flange nut. Leave finger tight. 4. Place a 5/16" flat washer and M8 flange nut on the T-bolt's threaded stud. Leave finger tight. 5. Rotate the T-bolt so the threaded nut is visible through the slotted hole in the upper mounting flange. Insert an M8 x 25mm screw with a 5/16" flat washer. Leave finger tight. 6. Repeat for the middle and rear brackets. 7. For the passenger side, use item #2 for the front bracket and item #1 for the middle and rear brackets.
1. Attach the inboard mounting brackets (items #3, #4) to the frame using 1/2-13 x 1.00" hex screws, 1/2" washers, and 1/2-13 serrated flange nuts. Leave loose. Note that these brackets are not the same from left to right. 2. Attach the W2W support bracket (item #6) to the inboard mounting bracket using two 3/8-16 x 1" hex screws, two 3/8" washers, and two 3/8-16 flange nuts, and to the frame using a 1/2-13 x 1" hex screw, a 1/2" washer, and a 1/2-13 serrated flange nut. Leave loose. 3. Install the W2W outboard mounting bracket (item #5) to the inboard W2W bracket using two black 5/16-18 x 1" hex screws, two black 5/16" washers, and two black 5/16-18 flange nuts. Leave loose. 4. Install the step plates and adjust all brackets and boards before tightening all fasteners.
Leave all fasteners finger tight during the initial installation steps. Only after you have installed the step plates and adjusted all brackets and boards should you tighten all fasteners to their final torque specifications. This allows for proper alignment and positioning of the entire assembly.
The kit includes six 25" x 6.5" plastic black step pads (item #6) and two optional 15" x 6.5" plastic step pads (item #13, marked "if needed"). The 25" pads are standard; the 15" pads are included only if needed for your specific installation. These pads attach to the step surface using carriage bolts and nylock nuts.
The kit includes four black plastic end caps: two LH rear/RH front (item #3) and two RH rear/LH front (item #4). These attach to the ends of the step assembly using carriage bolts (10-24 x 0.50" and 10-24 x 1.0") and nylock nuts (10-24). The end caps are pre-installed on the factory-assembled step.
Yes, with the model 400938 bracket kit. Confirm your cab style (extended or crew) and bed length to select the correct step model. 2009–2012 trucks without obround holes in the pinchweld will require drilling.
Only on 2009–2012 Dodge Rams without obround holes in the pinchweld. You will need to drill two 5/16" holes for each bracket. Newer trucks and those with threaded inserts do not require drilling.
Torque all 5/16" fasteners on the step assembly to 19 LB FT. Torque specifications for bracket fasteners are not provided in this manual; consult the bracket package instructions.
The step is pre-assembled from the factory. You only need to attach it to the mounting brackets using the supplied fasteners.
5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolts, 5/16" flat washers, and 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts (items #10, 11, 12). The kit includes 20 of each.
Leave all fasteners finger tight during installation. Tighten them to final torque specifications only after installing the step plates and adjusting all brackets and boards.
