Regal 7 wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for practical access to the bed of your truck, featuring an extended length and extra rear step pads. Wheel-to-wheel running boards give you a solid step up for easily reaching items in the truck bed, such as a truck tool box, ladder rack, 5th wheel hitch or other equipment. Regal 7 oval side steps are fitted with large, non-skid step pads. They feature a 7" width and a textured surface, providing enhanced comfort and safety when climbing in and out of your pickup truck. The step pads and matching end caps of Regal 7 wheel-to-wheel steps are angled for a sleek accent. To ensure excellent strength and lasting corrosion resistance, Regal 7 oval side steps are constructed from stainless steel. The stainless steel tubing measures 7" wide and has an elliptical shape for style and strength. All Regal 7 side steps are designed for a custom-fit installation, using vehicle-specific brackets. The brackets are built from strong carbon steel and have a durable black powder coat finish. They install using pre-existing mounting points on the truck to greatly reduce installation time and eliminate tedious modifications. This particular set of LUVERNE Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel steps is designed to fit specific years of the Ram 2500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).

The Regal 7 Oval Steps are pre-assembled step boards available in three lengths: model 477078 (76"), model 477088 (86"), and model 477098 (96"). Each model comes as a complete assembly with the serial number label located on the front inside driver's side step assembly. These are universal application steps that attach to mounting brackets.
The W2W Mega/Grip Step Brackets (models 571439 and 401439) are designed for 2014 and newer RAM 2500 pickups. They are compatible with Regular Cab, Quad Cab, Crew Cab, and Mega Cab configurations, though the rear bracket orientation differs between Mega Cab and the other cab styles.
No. For Regular Cab pickups only, the front and rear cab mounting brackets are used. The center mounting bracket and its fasteners may be discarded and are not needed for installation.
The Regal 7 Oval Steps include: 8 carriage bolts (10-24 x 0.50"), 4 step pads (25" x 6.5"), 24 carriage bolts (10-24 x 1.0"), 24 nylock nuts (10-24), 8 support mounting plates (11 GA galvanized), 16 hex head screws (5/16-18 x 1.0", stainless steel black), 16 flat washers (5/16", stainless steel black), and 16 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18, stainless steel). The step itself comes pre-assembled from the factory.
To attach each step to the mounting brackets, you need: one 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolt, one 5/16" flat washer, and one 5/16-18 serrated flange nut per attachment point. The manual specifies using the supplied fasteners from the service parts list (items #10, 11, and 12).
The manual does not specify which tools are required for installation of the Regal 7 Oval Steps. You should have standard wrenches or sockets to fit 5/16" fasteners, but the manual does not list specific tool requirements.
Yes. On the right side of the vehicle, you must remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts. These factory bolts will not be reused. Remove one side of the vehicle at a time. The mounting brackets are then installed using new M12 bolts and washers in place of the factory fasteners.
The load reaction studs must be assembled before attachment to the mounting brackets. On the short threaded end, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards to the bottom of the thread, then install a 3/8" flat washer and rubber cushion washer tight against the nut. The stud end must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16". On the long threaded end, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards near the bottom of the threads. Use a 4" stud (item #19) for the front bracket and a 3" stud (item #18) for the rear brackets.
Set the step on the mounting brackets and slide each support mounting plate (item #9) inside the oval step and above each bracket. Using the supplied 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolt, washer, and serrated flange nut (items #10, 11, and 12), attach the step assembly, support mounting plate, and mounting bracket together. Set the step plate in the correct position and tighten all fasteners to 19 LB FT.
Using an M12 – 110MM bolt (item #12) and a 2.0" washer (item #14), install the front mounting bracket (item #1 or #2, depending on left or right side) to the front body mount. Leave these fasteners finger tight initially. The brackets are installed on the right side of the vehicle first, then the left side.
Using an M12 – 110MM bolt (item #12) and a 2.0" washer (item #14), install the center mounting bracket (item #3 or #4, depending on left or right side) to the center body mount. Leave these fasteners finger tight initially. Note: For Regular Cab pickups, the center mounting bracket is not used and may be discarded.
Using an M12 – 116MM bolt (item #13) and a ½" flat washer (item #21), install the rear mounting bracket (item #5 or #6, depending on left or right side) to the rear body mount. Leave these fasteners finger tight initially. The orientation of the rear bracket differs between Regular/Quad/Crew Cab pickups and Mega Cab pickups; refer to the appropriate figure in the manual for your cab style.
Attach the rear outboard mounting bracket (item #7 or #8) to the rear inboard mounting bracket (item #5 or #6) in the upper mounting location using three 3/8-16 x 1.0" screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts (items #20, 16, and 17).
Loosen the bolt that fastens the suspension links to the vehicle. Slide the upper mounting bracket (item #9) between the bolt head and the frame bracket. Tighten down the bolt, making sure that the upper mounting bracket is level.
Fasten the lower bracket (item #11) to the upper bracket (item #9) using 3/8" bolt, washer, and nut (items #20, 16, and 17) in the two lower holes of the upper bracket. Make sure that it sits level to the front brackets.
All 5/16" fasteners on the Regal 7 Oval Steps must be torqued to 19 LB FT.
The 3/8" flange nuts on either side of the load reaction stud assembly must be tightened to 19 LB FT after positioning the rubber cushion snug against the side of the frame.
The end of the load reaction stud must be recessed in the rubber cushion washer approximately 3/16".
Use a 4" stud (item #19) for the front bracket and a 3" stud (item #18) for the rear brackets. Both are 3/8-16 double-ended steel studs.
The front and center body mount brackets use M12 – 110MM bolts (item #12) with 2.0" washers (item #14). These are left finger tight initially during installation.
The rear body mount bracket uses an M12 – 116MM bolt (item #13) with a ½" flat washer (item #21). This is left finger tight initially during installation.
