This custom tow bar base plate fits select years of the Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon and GMC Yukon XL (see application info to verify fitment). It features an OE style design to fully integrate with the front of the vehicle and maintain a factory look. This Cadillac / Chevrolet / GMC tow bar baseplate is constructed from high-quality steel and is precisely welded for a perfect fit. It is physically tested for absolute safety and peace of mind while dinghy towing. It also features a unique co-cured finish of liquid A-coat and highly durable powder coat to protect against the outdoor elements. This base plate for towing comes with attachment tabs, safety cables and installation hardware.

The fascia is temporarily reinstalled during the installation process to mark trim areas, then removed again for trimming, and finally reinstalled permanently.
Yes, drilling is required. You must enlarge existing holes in the frame using a 17/32" drill bit (one on each side, in front of the tow hook), and drill new rearward-most holes through the frame for the base plate bolts using the same 17/32" bit. These modifications are permanent.
Yes, trimming is required. You must cut out marked areas of the front fascia to accommodate the base plate receivers and the safety cable loop bracket openings. For Cadillac Escalade models, the inner layer of plastic behind the fascia must be trimmed first, before trimming the outer fascia. Use a utility knife to cut the marked areas. These modifications are permanent.
Torque the bottom hardware (1/2" hex bolts with 1/2" conical washers and 1/2" flange nuts) to 110 lb-ft. This applies to both the tow bar base plate installation and the safety cable loop bracket installation. Use a torque wrench to ensure proper tightness.

When not towing, insert the socket plugs into the ends of the tow bar base plates. When ready to tow, install the tow bar mounting tabs. The manual recommends removing the base plate attachment tabs when not in use.
