The AlumaLite? aluminum drop hitch combines strength with weight efficiency, simplifying the leveling process when towing unlevel trailers. Crafted from lightweight billet aluminum, the shank is designed for easy handling and installation and offers a 3-1/2" of drop, adjustable in precise 1" intervals, making height adjustments easy with the 2" or 2-5/16" ball. The AlumaLite aluminum drop hitch also seamlessly fits any 2" x 2" hitch receiver with 5/8" hitch pin holes. A drop hitch is an essential accessory for towing trailers with differing heights compared to the tow vehicle. An uneven trailer connection can lead to improper weight distribution and drooping or elevated connection. This misalignment can encourage trailer sway and result in unexpected accidents. Drop hitches resolve this issue by leveling the vehicle-trailer connection, providing a safe and secure tow. Every CURT product is built with quality to provide dependable, safe towing. The AlumaLite aluminum drop hitch, forged from billet aluminum, provides a sleek polished aluminum finish that's stylish, lightweight and user-friendly. Stringently tested for safety and universally compatible to fit all 2" x 2" hitches, it's rated for towing 8,000 lbs. using the 2" ball, and it can handle up to 12,500 lbs. when utilizing the 2-5/16" ball.

The CURT 45364 has a gross trailer weight (GTW) capacity of 12,500 lbs and a tongue weight (TW) capacity of 1,250 lbs. However, you must never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity. The ratings of the mount system represent the product's capability only and do not reflect the ratings of your vehicle's towing system. Always verify the lowest-rated component in your entire towing setup and do not exceed that limit.
The CURT 45364 is designed to fit trailer hitch receiver tubes. The manual does not specify receiver tube size, vehicle make, model, or year compatibility. Contact CURT product support at 877-287-8634 or consult a fitment database to confirm compatibility with your specific vehicle.

Level your trailer on level ground. Measure from the bottom of the trailer tongue to the ground. Find the hole on the adjustable shank (#1) that matches this measurement. The dual ball platform (#2) will be centered on that hole. This ensures proper coupler alignment and safe towing.
1. Insert the adjustable shank (#1) into your trailer hitch receiver tube and secure it with the hitch pin and clip. 2. Determine the correct ball height by leveling your trailer and measuring from the tongue bottom to the ground, then matching that measurement to a hole on the shank. 3. Slide the trailer tongue onto the shank and align it with the proper hole locations. 4. Insert the dual ball pin into the tongue hole and secure it with the clip.
No. You must use only the hitch pin supplied by CURT with the 45364. Using any other pin is a serious safety hazard and will void the warranty.
No. Never hook up trailer safety chains to the mount system. Ensure the safety chains operate freely around the mount system and do not become entangled. Safety chains must be attached to the trailer frame or other appropriate anchor points on your vehicle.
The CURT 45364 is for use in the drop position only. Do not use it in the rise position.
Use mild automotive detergent to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or similar products that may damage the finish. The manual does not specify a maintenance schedule or inspection intervals; contact CURT product support at 877-287-8634 for recommended maintenance intervals.
