The AlumaLite? aluminum drop hitch combines strength with weight efficiency, simplifying the leveling process when towing unlevel trailers. Crafted from lightweight billet aluminum, the shank is designed for easy handling and installation and offers a 5-1/2" of drop, adjustable in precise 1" intervals, making height adjustments easy with the 2" or 2-5/16" ball. The AlumaLite aluminum drop hitch also seamlessly fits any 2" x 2" hitch receiver with 5/8" hitch pin holes. A drop hitch is an essential accessory for towing trailers with differing heights compared to the tow vehicle. An uneven trailer connection can lead to improper weight distribution and drooping or elevated connection. This misalignment can encourage trailer sway and result in unexpected accidents. Drop hitches resolve this issue by leveling the vehicle-trailer connection, providing a safe and secure tow. Every CURT product is built with quality to provide dependable, safe towing. The AlumaLite aluminum drop hitch, forged from billet aluminum, provides a sleek polished aluminum finish that's stylish, lightweight and user-friendly. Stringently tested for safety and universally compatible to fit all 2" x 2" hitches, it's rated for towing 8,000 lbs. using the 2" ball, and it can handle up to 12,500 lbs. when utilizing the 2-5/16" ball.

The kit includes: one adjustable shank, one dual ball, one dual ball pin, two clips, and one hitch pin. All components are shown in the parts list and assembly diagram on page 2 of the manual.
The CURT 45363 has a gross trailer weight (GTW) capacity of 12,500 lbs and a tongue weight (TW) capacity of 1,250 lbs. Never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity, as the mount system ratings do not reflect the ratings of your vehicle's towing system.
Yes. The adjustable shank has multiple holes to accommodate different ball heights. To determine the correct height, level your trailer and measure from the bottom of the trailer tongue to the ground. Find the hole on the adjustable shank closest to that measurement; the dual ball will be centered on that hole when installed.
No. The CURT 45363 is for use in the drop position only, as stated in the manual. Do not attempt to use it in the rise position.
No tools are required for installation. The manual lists "None" under Tools Required. The installation is rated as Easy difficulty.
Installation has three steps: (1) Insert the adjustable shank into your trailer hitch receiver and secure it with the hitch pin and clip. (2) Determine the proper ball height by leveling your trailer and measuring from the bottom of the tongue to the ground, then find the matching hole on the adjustable shank. (3) Slide the tongue onto the shank, align it with the proper hole locations, place the dual ball pin in the tongue hole, and secure it with the clip.
Level your trailer on level ground. Measure from the bottom of the trailer tongue to the ground. Find the hole on the adjustable shank that is closest to that measurement. The dual ball platform will be centered on that hole when properly installed. This ensures the trailer coupler is level when connected.
No. You must use only the hitch pin supplied with the CURT 45363 mount system. Using any other pin could be a serious safety hazard and will void the warranty.
No. Never hook up trailer safety chains to the mount system. Ensure the safety chains operate freely around the mount system and do not become entangled.
Never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity. The CURT 45363 ratings (12,500 lbs GTW, 1,250 lbs TW) represent the product's capability only, not your vehicle's towing system. You must learn the ratings of all components in your towing system and never exceed the limits of the lowest-rated component.
Use mild automotive detergent to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes, or similar products, as these may damage the finish.
