Crafted from lightweight billet aluminum, the shank is designed for easy handling and installation and offers a 7-1/2" of drop, adjustable in precise 1" intervals, making height adjustments easy with the 2" or 2-5/16" ball. The AlumaLite aluminum drop hitch also seamlessly fits any 2" x 2" hitch receiver with 5/8" hitch pin holes. The CURT 45365 has a gross trailer weight (GTW) capacity of 12,500 lbs and a tongue weight (TW) capacity of 1,250 lbs. However, you must never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity. The ratings of the mount system represent only the capability of the product itself and do not reflect the ratings of your vehicle's towing system. Always verify the lowest-rated component in your entire towing system and do not exceed that limit.
The CURT 45365 includes: one adjustable shank, one dual ball, one dual ball pin, two clips, and one hitch pin. All components are shown in the parts list and assembly diagram.

No tools are required for installation of the CURT 45365. The installation is classified as 'Easy' difficulty.
Level your trailer on level ground, then measure from the bottom of the trailer tongue to the ground. Find the hole on the adjustable shank (#1) that is closest to that measurement. The trailer ball platform (#2) will be centered on that hole when properly installed. This ensures the coupler sits level on the ball.
1. Insert the adjustable shank (#1) into the trailer hitch receiver tube and secure it with the hitch pin and clip. 2. Level the trailer and measure from the bottom of the trailer tongue to the ground to determine the required ball height. 3. Slide the trailer tongue onto the shank and align it with the proper hole locations based on your ball height measurement. 4. Place the dual ball pin (#3) in the tongue hole and secure it with a clip (#4).
No. You must use only the hitch pin supplied with the CURT 45365 mount system. Use of any pin other than that of the mount system manufacturer could be a serious safety hazard and will void the warranty.
Never hook up trailer safety chains directly to the mount system. Instead, ensure the safety chains operate freely around the mount system and do not become entangled with it. This prevents damage to the mount and ensures the chains function properly in an emergency.
Never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity. Although the CURT 45365 is rated for 12,500 lbs GTW and 1,250 lbs TW, these ratings represent only the mount system's capability. You must identify the lowest-rated component in your entire towing system (vehicle, hitch receiver, ball, safety chains, etc.) and never exceed that limit. Your vehicle's towing capacity is often the limiting factor.
Use only mild automotive detergent to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or other similar products, as these may damage the finish. Regular gentle cleaning will help preserve the product's appearance and longevity.
