The conical washers must be installed with the teeth side against the hitch. Install them loosely with the hex nuts before final torquing.
You must remove the bottom panel door (2 screws with T15 Torx bit), 2 rivets from the bottom center fascia, and 1 screw from each side of the fascia using a flat head screwdriver and T15 Torx bit. Keep all removed rivets and screws for reinstallation.

Raise the hitch into position and align it with the forward attachment holes. Use a marker to mark the drill point at the center of the driver side rearward hole of the hitch bracket. Make sure the hitch sits straight with the location marked before lowering and drilling.
Drill one new 1/2" hole for the driver side rear attachment hole. Enlarge the existing passenger side rear attachment hole to 1/2". Use a hand drill for both operations.
Remove the bottom panel door and return it along with the 2 screws to the vehicle owner. Keep the 2 rivets and 1 screw from each side of the fascia for reinstallation after the hitch is mounted.
Reinstall the rivets and screws removed in step 1 after all fasteners have been tightened to the proper torque specification in step 4.

The spacers (1/4 x 7/8 x 3, qty. 4) are used with the carriage bolts during installation. They are fed through the access holes along with the bolts using the wire pulls to properly position the fasteners before final assembly.
Kink the wire pull to keep the spacer independent of the bolt. This ensures proper spacing and alignment during installation. Remove the wire pulls after the hitch is raised into position and the bolts are fed through the bracket holes.
The authorized drawbar kit is part number 3593 (sold separately). The drawbar must be used in the RISE position only.
