If you own multiple trailers or frequently tow a variety of loads, you know how much time and money are spent tailoring your towing system to each and every individual trailer. There is nothing more inconvenient than switching back and forth between a few different ball mounts and trying to remember which mount fits with which trailer. A CURT adjustable ball mount is your multipurpose towing solution. This CURT adjustable channel-style ball mount has a shank size of 2" x 2" and features a multipurpose head with two different trailer ball sizes to accommodate two different coupler sizes: 2" and 2-5/16". It also features a hitch step for easier truck bed access, as well as a tow hook for straight-line pull applications (max tow hook capacity is 10,000 lbs.; DO NOT EXCEED TRAILER HITCH CAPACITY). The head attaches to an adjustable shank assembly with multiple mounting holes for varying ball heights. Each trailer ball can be raised to a maximum of 5-1/4" rise or lowered to a maximum of 6" drop, allowing you to make your trailer completely level in any towing situation. The channel-style design and dual-pin mounting system also provide a built-in anti-rattle feature to eliminate obnoxious chucking noises. This CURT adjustable ball mount offers a gross trailer weight capacity of up to 10,000 lbs. for the 2" ball and 14,000 lbs. for the 2-5/16" ball. It allows you to tow a variety of heavyweight trailers, and it features two pin holes in the shank to be mounted at an 11" or 12" length. All CURT channel-style adjustable ball mounts are made with sturdy steel construction and come with our black carbide powder coat finish for long-lasting rust, scratch and UV resistance.

No tools are required to install the CURT 45904. The system uses the included hitch pin and clip for secure fastening.
The CURT 45904 includes: one channel mount, one dual ball/hook/step assembly, two channel pins, two channel clips, and one hitch pin with clip.
Level your trailer, then measure from the bottom of the trailer tongue to the ground. This measurement tells you which hole on the channel mount to use for the top pin of the dual-ball/hook/step assembly. The channel mount has multiple holes to accommodate different ball heights.
1. Insert the channel mount (#1) into your vehicle's trailer hitch receiver. 2. Secure it with the hitch pin and clip (#5). 3. Measure your trailer tongue height from the bottom to the ground when the trailer is level. 4. Find the hole on the channel mount closest to that measurement. 5. Insert the top pin of the dual-ball/hook/step (#2) into that hole. 6. Secure all pins (#3) with the included clips (#4).
The channel mount has a built-in anti-rattle feature located on the back of the dual-ball/hook/step assembly. This feature keeps your towing system quiet during operation.
No. The provided pins are specifically engineered for this system. Use of any pin other than that of the mount system manufacturer could be a serious safety hazard and will void the warranty. If replacement pins are needed, they must be replaced with original factory mount pins (CURT# 45925).
No. Never hook up trailer safety chains to the mount system. Ensure the safety chains operate freely around the mount system and do not become entangled.
Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity. The ratings of the CURT 45904 mount system (10,000 lbs for 2-inch ball, 14,000 lbs for 2-5/16-inch ball, or 10,000 lbs straight pull for the tow hook) represent the capability of the product only. You must never exceed the limits of the lowest rated component in your entire towing system, including your vehicle, hitch, ball, and trailer.
Read all instructions thoroughly before beginning installation. Verify your vehicle's towing capacity and ensure the CURT 45904 capacity does not exceed it. Confirm your vehicle has a standard trailer hitch receiver.
