If you own multiple trailers or frequently tow a variety of loads, you know how much time and money are spent tailoring your towing system to each and every individual trailer. There is nothing more inconvenient than switching back and forth between a few different ball mounts and trying to remember which mount fits with which trailer. A CURT adjustable ball mount is your multipurpose towing solution. This CURT adjustable channel-style ball mount has a shank size of 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" and features a ball and pintle combination to accommodate a 2-5/16" trailer coupler or a lunette ring with an inside diameter of 2-1/2" or 3". It also features an adjustable shank assembly with multiple mounting holes for varying ball heights. It can be raised to a maximum of 5-1/4" rise or lowered to a maximum of 6" drop, allowing you to make your trailer completely level in any towing situation. The channel-style design and dual-pin mounting system also provide a built-in anti-rattle feature to eliminate obnoxious chucking noises. This CURT adjustable ball mount offers a gross trailer weight capacity of up to 20,000 lbs., allowing you to tow a variety of heavyweight trailers (limited to lowest-rated towing component). It also features two pin holes in the shank to be mounted at an 11" or 12" length. All CURT channel-style adjustable ball mounts are made with sturdy steel construction and come with our black carbide powder coat finish for long-lasting rust, scratch and UV resistance.

The CURT 45908 is an adjustable channel-mount system designed to fit standard trailer hitch receivers. However, you must verify your vehicle's tow rating in your vehicle owner's manual before using this system. The manual does not specify exclusions by vehicle type, bed length, or cab style, so contact CURT Product Support at 877-287-8634 to confirm fitment for your specific vehicle.
1. Insert the adjustable channel-mount into the trailer hitch receiver of your vehicle. 2. Secure it with the provided hitch pin & clip. Always secure the hitch pin with a clip unless a locking device is being used. 3. Insert the pintle head into the channel-mount. 4. Raise or lower the pintle head to your desired height. 5. Insert the supplied pins through the holes that line up in both the pintle head and channel-mount. 6. Secure all pins with the provided clips. 7. Ensure the anti-rattle set screw is in place on the back of the pintle combo assembly.
Yes. The pintle head can be raised or lowered to your desired height by inserting it into the channel-mount at the position you want. Once positioned, insert the supplied pins through the aligned holes in both the pintle head and channel-mount, and secure them with the provided clips.
Before towing, ensure all pins and clips are secured. Verify that your vehicle's tow rating (found in your vehicle owner's manual) is not exceeded by your trailer and cargo. Never hook trailer safety chains to the channel-mount system; instead, ensure the safety chains operate freely around the channel-mount and do not become entangled. Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity.
No. Use of any pin other than that of the CURT channel-mount system manufacturer is a serious safety hazard and will void the warranty. If replacement pins are needed, they must be replaced with original factory channel-mount pins (CURT# 45925).
The channel-mount has a built-in anti-rattle feature located on the back of the pintle combo assembly to keep your towing system quiet. The anti-rattle set screw is included in the kit and should be installed as part of the assembly.
If replacement pins are needed, use only original factory channel-mount pins (CURT# 45925). Using any other pins is a serious safety hazard and will void the warranty.
